I started on my lifestyle and weight loss path because my cholesterol was out of control and I refused the doctor's orders to take statins.
It takes alot of work to get your cholesterol down. Saturated fats are a big item to severely limit, as well as cholesterol laden foods. Exercise is a big deal as well.
I must really work to get all of my nutritional elements in line everyday and plan all my meals for the day in advance, enter them in my food tracker and study the nutritional report at that time to make sure my numbers are the right percentages.
While I have been doing this for two years I have learned a lot. I have also lowered my cholesterol to an acceptable but not great level, and not gone on medication.
This is something that I will deal with for the rest of my life.
There is a cholesterol team that you may want to check out. They may be able to give you the tips and help you need.
Good luck.

I want to learn how to eat properly so I can lower my chlorestoral for my doctor. I don't have to take any medicine so far and I don't want to. I am working on changing my cooking habits and my emotions. I have received much help from all the reading I have done. I copied some of the lectures from my emails and now I am beginning to count my calories and learn control. I lost ten pounds but I manage to fall apart after that. Today I will start all over and look to gain confidence as I read and study. Thank you goofball 5
