Welcome to SP. It can be overwhelming at first since there is so much information here. It takes a bit of clicking here and there to figure it all oub, but you will
I thought I ate a healthy, balanced diet until I started tracking my food.
I wasn't and had to rethink my approach to food. It was a real eye opener.
Track your and study the nutritional report every day and then decide.
Look at some of the SP fitness videos. You may find some activities you can do inside the house while your kids are napping and you can get your cardio on.

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am new to spark people. I am having some trouble still maneuvering the site. There is so much it's a bit overwhelming. But I am 23 years old. I am a married mother of two (a 3 year old and a 1 year old). I stay at home with them all day so time is not usually an issue as much as motivation is. Nearly a year ago I was 230 pounds. I have gotten down to 174 on my own, but I am still overweight and have some more to go and so I figured I needed some help now. I don't really exercise, and I think that my diet for the most part is okay. That has been my main concern, portion control and not eating out so much. I cannot afford to go to a gym so I am trying to come up with things that I can do here at home. It's a bit hard though when you cannot go outside with the kids yet. Life in western Michigan can be trying when the weather is so cold and likely to change 20 minutes later.
