I am 48 yrs old, currently live alone, but am married.My husband is incarserated for at least one more year. I have spend several months deprest, not wanting to do anything. I finally decided that I needed to get up and change my life for the better while he is gone so by the time he is back home I will have my new lifestyle in force. He will have to adapt to my way of life. Since January I have lost around 20 to 25 pounds. 255 down to 233. Size 22 now 18. I have found what works for me is to eat chicken, fish and lean pork mostly. Red meat on Sunday only. No ground beef or pork, only ground turkey. A lot of vegetables, only rye or whole grain breads, but not very often, just starchy vegetable and little amonts of pasta. No butters or margerine, Only vegetable fats like advocotoes and olives. Walk at least 3 miles every day or some type of exercise. With all that being said, I need sparkpeople help to better track what I'm doing. I have no way of knowing how many serving I am getting of each food group and of course cals. I want to improve on the balence to continue to eat whats good for me and loose weight in a healthy way.
