The people who set the 5K "races" always welcome walkers (those who walk the whole 3+ miles. If you feel you will be prepared to walk for one hour (up to 15 minutes more or less depending on your pace), then by all means find a 5K in your area and go for it. Bob
PS I think they typically allow for even much more then 75 minutes to complete the race. You might want to ask the coordinators for information on that if it takes you longer.

My name is Gina, I'm doing this cause I'd love to lose weight and walking is my " thing". I don't have anyone to do this with which is sad.
