Hi Aparna. Welcome to the team.

I think it's a good idea to just start with walking. Map out a nice route through your neighborhood and just take it slow. Depending on how your knees feel, after a while you'll probably be able to increase your speed and/or distance.

Also, try some strength training. SP has many great videos you can follow.

While exercise is a great tool in weight loss, focus on food and eating right is the #1 component. Be sure to track your food.

Wishing you much success on your journey.

Hi friends,

I am Aparna. I have just joined your team.

I have tried many options for weight loss....but never got succeeded.

Lately i have tried with spot running, which worked out well....but i ended up hurting my knees....so, now that option is out....

Finally, i have decided to go for the best and safest option of walk. Of course by keeping in mind my knee pain and all.

Now, before keeping my step forward for the all new beginning....i want to be fully prepared....and no more injuries because of the half knowledge.

So, would like to request all you lovely people to guide me with your knowledge and experiences. Every small bit of information coming from you will be highly appreciated.

Looking forward for your kind co-operation.

Your new friend,
Aparna :-)
