Hi Pat I see Tracy has already told you about the main thread we post on.I have had my knees caps removed and I work part time in a physio clinic so I can help you with bad knee exercises.The pool is one of the very best exercises for you!I love it and do it alot (even up here in the frozen North I live in Northern Alberta in Canada so you know I use an indoor pool LOL!) I use the treadmill too , be careful with the evil elliptical.What is wrong with your knees? An elliptical can exacerbate some conditions.I look forward to getting to know you!

Good morning Pat! I too swell terribly from sodium and I avoid it as well.. I do not eat frozen meals and try to avoid prepackaged products... Hope we can be a support to you.. looking forward to getting to know you.

My name is Pat and I am new to this team, but I have been an avid Sparkie or Sparker since 08/25/09.

I live in Alabama. I live in the area called the Wiregrass. We love it here. I have two adult sons. My oldest is married. My DH's two older sisters moved here to be close to us.

I started this life journey to a healthier me in May 2009.I weighed 264.4 pounds. That was the highest I had ever weighed. My original goal was to get to 199 pounds. I have been stuck in the 230s for a few months. My official goal is 150 pounds.

I have allergies and high blood pressure so my medication and sodium intake sometimes makes the scale do terrible things. LOL

I was was working out in our pool last summer. As the season changed I began walking for 10 minutes at a time. Last fall I started working out on my treadmill and now I walk 2 to 3 miles every day. I also use an Evil Elliptical machine. I have bad knees so I can only do a few minutes on it.

I joined this team for support. I see you all are very positive. I love that.
