My story....the story of an emotional eater.

So 2 years ago i started using spark people and was quite susccessful, lost over 70 lbs. Then on January 16 2009 my husband said he thought he needed to go to the eye doctor to get his glasses checked because things seemed a bit blurry the last few days. So off he goes to the doctor to find out that he was the start of diabetes in his eyes. The doctor makes an appointment with a specialist. The appointment was for Febuary 20. In the 3 weeks between his appointments he develpos a bad cough, and by the ime we get to the specialist my husband can hardly see. It was discovered taht he had a blood clot in his right eye, and was bleeding in both eyes. He had emergency eye urgery that day to help stop the bleeding. And in early march had a major eye surgery.

In the last year my husband has gone legally blind preventing him from working, had lung surgery and a 2nd emergency eye surgery. BUt he is still alive and found a new way to cotribute to our family. AAAAHHHH alas the stress killed my diet.

So I'm back to the weight I was when I started, am searching for a different way to deal with the stresses of life and working at getting the 70+ poumds back off, 1 lb at a time.
