5K is very doable. It does take your time as this is what the program is about. If you can walk 30 minutes, you can do this. Some even do this using a walker!
I did a 5K on Monday. It has been near 100 here so I got up extra early and walked before the sun hit the pavement. It was much better to walk then. It also helps when you walk outside and become "acclimated" to the weather.
