Went to a YogaFit Conference to take two more trainings toward my registration as a yoga therapist. One of them was an introduction to Ayurveda, applying the principles of the system to a yoga practice, e.g. movements to stimulate the immune system to help our constitutions sustain their natural balance. An "off-the-mat" assignment from the training was to commit [mutually, with another participant] to an Ayurvedic principle and check in after thirty days. I committed to revising my wake-up and go-to-bed times: getting up at 6 AM and getting to bed by 10 PM, with meditation and a yoga practice to start my day. So far, I've missed more days than I've hit. But each new day is a fresh opportunity to try again.

Mindful movement is a form of prayer.
