Welcome & congratulations on the weight loss!

Pain Is Temporary.
Pride Is Forever.

I'm too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed.

My SparkPage
Hi, my name is Anita. I am 44 years old, married to my soul mate, and have 2 wonderful children (15 and 17). In November of 2009, my doctor suggested gastric bypass surgery for me. I went through one afternoon of interviews with a nurse, a dietician, and a social worker - and was terrified. I realized that this wasn't the right choice for me, and vowed to make positive changes in my life. I was giving myself one year to see a big change. In March 2010, I started working with a personal trainer, and making better food choices. I've lost 45 lbs to date, but gained so much more! My self-esteem was non-existent before this, and now I smile more, and have tried new foods. I'm a much more positive person than I was. And now I've joined SP in hopes of speeding up my weight loss, and learning more to keep me motivated. I'm continuing to work out with my PT (who is amazingly patient), and can't wait to see where I'm at next year at this time. Thanks to everyone who have such inspirational stories. I can't seem to read enough.
