Welcome back Jill!!! Just take it one day or one hour at a time if needed. You have done extremely well with your weight loss in the past - you know this works, so keep with it. Drink lots of water and you will be seeing results very soon. emoticon

Hi Jill...smiles.. I know how hard it is to go to a party and be soo tempted.. before you go think of some things they will have and pick one that you really would love to have.. then have that but in moderation... just one serving...that helps me... we have a summer party every year and I used to eat everything in sight..but I came up with this idea to plan beforehand and have that motivation in mind... and another good thing is not to think of this as a diet like another member said.. from now on think of it as taking care of your health..that is what is most important.. I am diabetic and I had to change my lifestyle... but I took it one step at a time and now I am not even on medicine for the diabetes anymore...remember you can do it!!! dont give up and give in to your cravings be strong and remember you have us to help you along the way..smiles..

It sounds like you never went away. Remember this is not a diet, this is a life style change. The changes you made should be permanent. Having a treat once in a while should be accectable. Please try to get back on your program and stay with it, it is going to be important for your health! Try to take one day at a time and remember we are all in this together!

Hi, I'm back. Rejoining because I fear backsliding, same as I've always done. Also fear Labor Day cookout I'll be going to in a few hours. I was diagnosed pre-diabetic, and that scared me horribly, so I lost weight for the first time. Fear kept me going for eight months. The fear now is that feeling well I did it! I've been trying less hard lately & giving in more. My weight loss have stopped. Now I'm scared again, because as a pre-diabetic I was told I should always "think like a diabetic," because the vulnerability to diabetes will ALWAYS still be there, latent, more so than in regular people. So... I'm back. Relieved actually. I hope you all will help me. I'll be posting here and on the diabetes team. Now that I think of it, I'm really really relieved to be back here. There are going to be so many goodies at this barbecue I'm going to. Wish I didn't have to go! It's the parents of my daughter's best friend, so I have to. They serve ice cream sundaes and cookies for dessert! I want to eat them and know I'm going to. Arghh!!
