I'm glad you found and joined our team! TMW is easy to follow. It is not a HUGE blow to have an occasional fall off the MW wagon--which helps me because I'm prone to imperfection. :)

Becky is right....baby steps. If you have something sweet every night at dinner you could exchange the cookie for strawberry shortcake......but leave out the cake part. That helped me a lot.

Feel free to jump right in! I'm happy to see our team growing!

Glad you found us!! My name is Becky. I'm retired and living in No. California. I am married with all of our children grown and gone. The only baby we have left in the house is our 4 yr old Westie, Buddy, and our black cat, Sudeeki. Life is Good!

Remember... Baby Steps! One change at a time! If sweets are your speed bump... go slowly!! You will be able to do it!! That's the great thing about this way of eating ... there is nothing off limits, everything in moderation! You can do this and you will be glad you did. You will see that Spark People's Nutrition plan is based closely to this way of eating too... so that helps.

Hi everyone!
I'm Heather and I just joined. I was so excited to see this group because I've been thinking about the Med diet for a while and now I'm finally ready to work at it.
I've already sort of been eating this way for a while. I don't eat red meat at all and I try to make all of my meals loaded with vegetables and whole grains. My biggest challenge is limiting the sweets. As much as I tell myself to choose an apple over a cookie, it's so difficult!
I'm hoping to get to know you all better and gain some tips and recipes along the way.
