My heritage has also been Mediterranean ..
But on migrating to Australia and marrying a Australian all my previous nutrition went out the window !!
I have changed back now and feel so much healthier for it ..

Welcome to the team! Portion control has been a big issue for me, too. But I read an article soemwhere on Spark that told common objects to compare to portion sizes, like a portion of meat is the size of a deck of cards. That really helps, especially when you eat out. I eat that part of the meal and take the rest home for another day!

I think portion control is a big problem for a lot of people! I know it is for me. Make good use of the nutrition tracker - it really helps keep things in check when I go over board on the servings!

Hello all,

My ancestry is from the Mediterranean so I grew up eating this way. I am fortunate as I don't even have to think about it. I love all fresh fruit, veggies, and fish. I have always eaten healthy. My problem has been portion control, too much of a good thing, along with some sweets can be bad. Glad to have found the team. emoticon
