Hi, I'm Nicky. I'm not new to Sparkpeople but I am new to actually posting. This sounded like a good team for me because I have lost and gained literally 100s of pounds over the last 10 years - - a skilled yo-yo dieter! 50 pounds lost 75 pounds gained, 20 pounds lost 30 pounds gained... you know the story. I am about 150 pounds overweight right now and I really want this to be the last time that I lose this weight. I want off this yo-yo.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know you!
Nicky

I've been on SP for almost 8 months now. I started at 130 and have lost VERY slowly. Talk about Slow Loser...I'm still struggling with the last 3-4 lbs. Just got blood test results back today and I need to also lower my LDL Cholesterol.

emoticon I'm Tiffany and I am new to this SparkTeam. I've been up and down the weight loss trail many times over. I did, however find a spark in me when I re-started in November 2010 that was never there before. I'm learning that it's not just about the number that glares back at me from the scale. My journey is about so much more than that. I'm SO happy to be here, and even more excited to give and receive the support that makes SparkPeople so wonderful and effective!

There are certain guidelines that SP likes us to follow. Exercise, water and logging in food. These are basics to help us achieve consistency. From there we moved forward, with the help of teams, team mates, and postings. I find postings is a great place to get inspiration. Read our posts and answer where you would like, to help us to get to know you better.

HELLO!!!! My name is Jen (only one "n") and I have recently joined spark in an attempt to help me get back on track and loose weight again. I saw the blog about gaining four pounds after surgery and loved it! It was written in a way I could relate although I haven't had surgery there have been times (today being one of them)when I have had to take it easy for whatever reason or another. I am interested to see where this journey will take me, us since we are all trying to loose weight. I need all the motivation I can get and this seems to be a good place for some of it ;)
Thanks! emoticon

Don't even look at how long I've been a Sparkperson. I keep starting over. I don't have a lot of time for all the teams, etc. so I don't check in too often. I know what needs to be done, it's just doing it in the face of opposition (hubby, friends). and then there's that first 5 lbs off and I think yay I'm on my way, only to go up 2, down 1, up 1, down 2 until I give up. With my back and foot problems I can't do a lot of exercise at 62.

Hi, I am new to this team but not new to Spark. Sparkbuddy talked me into joining this team. We both find it hard to lose weight. I seem to self-sabotage myself when I hit a five pound loss. Still trying to figure out why that is. I have sleep apnea which causes me to gain weight and be too tired to exercise as much as I should. I definitely need a kick in the pants on occasion to jump start.

Hello!
I am new to the site and am looking forward to the support I know I will get from people like me who struggle day in and day out with what should be consumed and how much movement we need to do. I have been struggling with my weight on and off for a looonnngggg time. My goal is to get healthy and hopefully it will bring weight loss along with it. I am currently going back to school for a degree and I think I am getting the freshman 30+ (even though I'm not a freshman anymore and am far older than the usual). I am ready to get to work and improve myself. Thanks for your support!!

I've been diagnosed with a very slow metabolism. I am much older than probably most of you also. I am very happy, optimistic person who loves life and people.

My husband and I have six children and FOURTEEN grandchildren ranging in age from 24 down to 10 months. We love them so much.

I struggle with losing weight all the time. I'm not a quitter though and will enjoy this team. I hope to inspire others as they inspire me also.

Nice to meet all of you.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I am not new to this team but am sort of getting a fresh start on everything. (Isn't that an original step for Jan?)

I am a slow loser for a number of reasons, I think. One of those reasons is poor follow-up. Istart all gangbusters and then flop! So I am starting slowly. Again.

Good news: I lost 28-30 lbs since fall 2009 and have kept them off fairly well. I move up and down in a 5 lb range. But I am proud that there was no large gain in 2010!

Anyway, I am feeling renewed and am happy to show up again!

Hello, I'm new to this team, but not to SparkPeople, having been active on the site in the past under another username (lost the email address and password). This team is an especially good idea for those of us who, due to various health reasons, are on an altered program. When you see others' Spark Pages, it's easy to feel like a loser in the bad sense of the word. Thank you for creating this team!

This is the right team for me because I lose between a couple ounces, or a pound a week~
& I have just been struggling out of a plateau.

I wish you all success, take it easy & do it healthy.

As you work out, you will find muscle weights heavier than the poundage you are trying to lose. When you try on your clothes they will fit better and that you are more svelte.

My name is Anita. I thought that this team name was very interesting, but I feel like the slowest loser, cause no matter what I change the weight takes it's time to go down. The inches move a little faster but not much. It can be a little discouraging, but I know that eventually things will fall into line.

Hello,
I am new to this team today. It seems like I have been on diets every since I graduated high school and got married. It's been an uphill journey for me with too many ups and downs. I am finally in control and just want to do all that I can do to be healthy and whole in my body. I have high Cholestrol and need to eat correctly to make sure it is in check. I'm going to stop looking for the diets that promise quick weight lose and stop beating myself up and having the morning after blues. I'm going to beat this with the help of God first and friends!! Thanks for the welcome!!

Hi everyone emoticon

My name is Sue (Sussy). I saw this team and thought

emoticon that's me to a T.

I have been on Sparkpeople since 2/2010 then had some health issues late in March and went MIA then found my way back at the beginning of June then went traveling off and on for some volunteer fire organizations my husband and I belong to over the summer and found myself MIA AGAIN emoticon

In all that time I would lose and gain UP to one pound a week sad to say. I have a problem of losing ounces and not pounds and then get frustrated so I find myself back to where I started.

My New Year goals are to blog at least once daily, to start getting active physically and to put pictures of me up because I try to hide myself.

Hello. My name is Bren. I live in the Raleigh/Durham area of NC. I have battled being overweight for 30 years. I am 62 and no longer working outside the home. Since being home, I have added another 20lbs. I have dieted forever and tried almost every program out there. Lose then gain. I can't seem to do it anymore. Hopefully, this will be THAT time. Slow is OK. I AM the slowest loser.
