GrammaCathy: I'm on week 2 of the challenge. I have no problem falling asleep, but cannot sleep a full 8 hr. This really doesn't bother me and I function during the day quite well. My main focus right now is losing weight and getting physically fit. However, I am open to this challenge and seeing if I can sleep longer throughout the night. I have made some goals, etc. but just not quite there yet. Thanks for input emoticon

Gracie, Just curious. Have you completed all the action steps outlined at the top of the team page under Challenge Details. I find that pretty helpful. Have done it a couple times to get me back on track. Also, if I can't sleep I put on meditation and sleep tapes and just lay there and relax. Hoping for the best sleep possible for you.

Thanks for checking in Kelly.

I'm in a weight loss challenge that is very chatty and interactive. I don't necessarily mind this being a quiet group, but it is hard to adjust to a challenge where you are on your own especially one that is hard for you.
I average around 5 hours sleep time a night. I joined this challenge because the only goal I could not check on some of my other challenges was getting 8 hrs. of sleep.

I was getting ready to leave this challenge until I saw your post. Maybe I'm not ready to adjust my sleep schedule. For me this is more difficult than adjusting my nutrition & fitness challenges. I feel there is no incentive to do this as a group activity and no accountability. I certainly would be open to more communication, etc. Not sure about Discord.

Hi Kelly,
Thank you for being a team moderator. I don't really have any suggestions for this team other than to respond when people write. It is a health and wellness team tied to a challenge. My experience over the last eleven years is that for the most part people join health teams, get what they can and then move on. I think that is okay. I lead a couple teams with only one or two active people on it, but lots of resources like this team has. I feel good when a newbie joins and posts and gets the information they need to move forward and then they join a fun team like the photography group.

Good afternoon Spark Friends!

I wanted to take a minute to reach out to each of the clubs I知 a moderator for. I joined SparkPeople a few months back and was actively taking the challenges and making friends and accomplishing my weight loss goals. Then a few things started to change in my life. I had to deal with a family crisis, some health complications of my own, and an 8-yr old child who is suffering from yet-to-be-diagnosed health issues. I don't have healthy coping skills, so my Binge Eating Disorder has been taking control a lot and my weight went from 144 lbs back up to 158 lbs. I was so proud of myself; 144 lbs took me out of the obese classification to the overweight classification, so I ate my way right back into obesity. I am realizing that, despite all the chaos in my life right now, I need the support system and accountability that I received by being active on SparkPeople. I also miss the friendships and gamification. :)

Most of the groups I知 moderating have been quiet, but quiet or not I would like to see some interactions and friendships forming in here! I壇 also love to know why you joined this group in the first place, what you get out of it, and what changes you would like to see to improve the group. I壇 also love to set some team goals that we can work on together. Any input you have would be greatly appreciated.!

Also, who all is familiar with the chat app Discord? I would love to set up a Discord server for each of the groups I知 a moderator for. It痴 free to sign up, and you have your own inbox messages, plus servers about different topics and the ability to voice chat, have a chat room, etc. We could have a voice chat once a week or something like that. Check out Discord, and let me know if there is any interest. :)
