Hi all!

I am Crystal and I am joining this challenge to bring me back to focus on what makes me me. Life balance is controlled by ones ability to nutritionally and mentally/physically find what makes life's challenges (big or small) manageable for them. For me, it is to nourish my body with whole healthy foods and to make sure that I get a minimum of one hour of physical activity to clear my mind and think clearly.

Good luck to all and I wish you all the best.

Hi, I am Shantelle and I am looking to drop a hundred pounds. Hopefully by June - in time for a wedding. I need to drop more than that but I need a realistic goal. That is the max I would hope to lose, the minimum will be thirty pounds. Either way, I'm excited.

Hi, I'm AJ...32 years old, a full time graduate student, and work part-time at two different horse barns for a total of about 25 hours a week of work. I also volunteer with a German Shepherd Rescue, in addition to having my own animals. I'm also part of a women's motorcycle club.

Basically I'm here because I need some quick workouts that I can squeeze into my already crazy schedule. I can probably find 10 minutes most days, so figured this was worth a try. Last spring/early summer I lost most of the weight I really wanted to get off, but now I'm right back to where I started, mostly because I've been eating way too much.

I have about 7-10 pounds to lose (7 is the minimum I want to lose, I would really like to lose closer to 12). I fell off the wagon when my super crazy summer schedule kicked into full gear, and fall wasn't much better, so never got back into it. Have been wanted to get back to it again, and the email in regards to this seemed like the perfect thing.

I think new year resolutions are silly, so this has nothing to do with that...just a combination of having the time and finding something that may work.

Hello, My name is Jamie. I enjoy feeling like I am active, but the truth is I haven't been all that active in a long time. I am a stay at home mom and love taking care of my daughter, but staying at home has caused me to fall into some bad habits that this challenge will help me overcome! emoticon

Hello,

My name is Deborah, my friends call me Deb. I am 52 yrs young and I am 40 lbs overweight and sick and tired of being in this state. I am ready to reclaim my life. I won't lie, I want to lose the weight to look better but I also don't want the illnesses that also come with the pounds. I've been on this weight roller coaster for a few yrs now but this time I must stick with it. My daughter is getting married in August so I plan to be fabulous on that day!! I'm really loving this site!! Exercise is not my big problem but eating properly is!! I really think that this site will be a big help with that! I'm really excited about my new journey!! I'm determined to do this !!

Thanks for listening,
Deb

I'm brand new to sp but unfortunately dieting and I go way back. This challenge seems like a good way to begin a new lifestyle change (not using the "d" word anymore). I really like the idea of this like-minded community too & think that may be the missing link in my current regimen. I'm so happy to be here! emoticon

I have found it difficult getting the workout tapes on my computer. I have decided to use my own exercise tape that takes about 50 minutes to complete. I am not going to track this because It would not be fair to those who are actually using the Bootcamp tapes.

I thought I had introduced myself a few days ago, but I think maybe that was on another site. I began the 28 day bootcamp on 12/31/11. I am also a grandma of 6. I have about 175 pounds to lose, but am only thinking about my first 25 right now. This bootcamp will go a long way toward helping with that goal!

My name is Cody, and I'm 24...ok 25 on the 23rd of January... We recently moved from SC to WA state, and I'm finding it HARD to get any exercise done. As a result of my slothiness I have gained like 40LBS! I want it GONE! I gotta get back into my work out grove and get into it NOW! Hoping to go from 180 back to 145, or 140...whichever I can get to again! Any help would be great. ALSO, If anyone knows a cool way to get good at pushups in less than a month, I'm all ears!

Hi! I'm Pat aka Mamatree1, am 64, a Type 1 Diabetic for 41 years now, and have gained most of my weight in my abdomen, where my insulin pump goes in. The only way to lose it is with regular exercise. This bootcamp is just what the doctor ordered! But where do I go to watch the video?

Hi my name is Alison - I began Spark people last year in March and I was doing well when I started. The key was being on here every day...but that was hard to do and I fell by the way side...so I am looking to start over as I have gained some of my weight back. With the start of the New Year I am hoping to get back on track...I am 52 and I have been sick since before Christmas - I don't want that to way lay me more so I am hoping this boot camp will be the kick start. Hopefully I can get off what I gained over the holidays... emoticon

I have been a SparkPeople member since May 2010. By December I was finally working a nutrition and fitness program regularly. I joined the challenge to keep moving forward. I want to be a healthy, happy, fit granny. I want to be able to hike without making my hiking buddies have to stop and wait while I catch my breath. I need to learn to get rid of stress and exercise seems to help with that along with meditation. Looking forward to enjoying the New Year with my family and friends.

Hi! My name is Karla and I have been a member of Sparkpeople since 2007. I have not been very active the last few months, but with a new year I decided to start over. I will continue to start over and over again until I get to where I need to be. I joined this challenge to get a jump start on meeting my fitness goals - once of which is to be consistent.

My name is Bill and I am 62 years old. I am retired and I have made the decision to lose weight and get back into shape. When I started losing I was at 328 pounds. That is not a good way to live. I have two granddaughters and would love to lose 100 pounds and be able to run again. I joined this group to really get a good start. I look forward to the challenge and would also like to wish everyone else good luck on their goals.

Hi! I'm Jess and I'm going to get back to the weight I was at when I was in the best shape of my life, about 6 years ago. To push it one step further, I want to get to the ideal BMI for my height and bone structure so that means I have about 15 pounds to lose. To meet my goal and I am doing weight watchers. I have had a sparkpeople account for a while now because I love the videos; so I was excited when I found this challenge!

I know what I need to do to lose the weight, but staying focused is my weak point. I know if I continue to read the message boards, all you great people here on SP will keep me on track. My husband lives 2 hours away from me, so I have no one checking up on me during the week (an of course he tells me I am beautiful, so I think I look better than I do). I am more motivated this year (I hope) because we would like to have kids, but it is safer if I am at a healthy weight, so I am shooting for a baby making weight of 180 or less.

I'm a wife, mom, grandma, school teacher, sister, and more so I really want to stay healthy and loose weight this month. This a great way to start with a spark.

Hello everyone. My name is Elaine. I got started a day late, so I did day 1 and day 2 today. I tried to do this last year but didn't make it. I am much more in the habit of exercising now, so hopefully I will make it this year.

Hi! I'm Jaynee and I have Sparked my way to a healthy weight before, then started campaigning for public office and found myself eating out twice daily and eventually regaining almost everything I lost (but not it all!).

Now, I hadn't planned to start 'dieting' on the first, it just happened, That it happened at the same time hubby has decided to get his health under control is exciting for me.

I have learned that I can't do this alone. I need to continue sparking to be a success. This 28 day boot camp will be the jumpstart I need! emoticon
