I'm just getting back from a 2 week stay in the hospital, and I'm playing major catch up! I pray that all is well with everybody. I'm home, which I'm excited about. I'm a bit weak, but I feel so much better!

There are plenty of exercises that can be done without hurting yourself, just look up exercising with injuries and you will find something that you can do for 10 minutes.

HI ! MY NAME IS RITA! Wishing you a Good START on your trip to good health and physical wellness! Right now you are doing better than me since I have been here 4 month's but, I've been dealing with shoulder and knee pain and couldn't get my Doctor's appt. moved up. You have any problems there are a number of places to go for answers: upper right HELP drop-down menu, 1/2 down the Start page, go to the Community Forum/teams/ etc., read articles and learn and learn more!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Update on myself: I have been getting in my (at least) 10 mins. daily, however I am having severe hip and right front of my leg pain plus tingling in my right foot. I plan to contact the Dr. on Monday as this has gone on far too long.

You're doing FANTASTIC!!! You've started out at a pace that is GREAT for beginners. However, just like Dwayne said, add a bit more each week, or each day, however you want to work it. After all, this is your workout routine and God's Temple that you're getting in order. Listen to Him, and you won't be able to go wrong!

I'm just so excited that you decided to join us! Keep meeting back here and posting of all your successes and even your set backs. There are no failures, as we always learn something, from whatever we're doing, whether it works for us or not. This is a trial and error thing, as we try to compliment what is best and working for our bodies.

If there is anything I can do for you, just HOLLER and I'll do the best I can to give you a HAND UP!

Starting small is the best way to go and 5 days of 10 minute walks is great. You keep doing that and kicking it up a little every week and you'll reach your goals in no time.

I've been a member for just over 1 year now and it's worked wonders for me. I'm down 50+ pounds from when I started, but still not to my goal weight. That will come in time. I just keep on keepin' on...today's gym work will be cardio and upper body work.

SCHOOL...Keep posting and letting us know how you're doing, any questions, or whatever comes to mind. Even if you're having a set-back day, let us know and we'll be there to lift you up.

Just joined spark people a week ago. To be truthful I haven't been active in over a year...Going to start small. So this past week I have had 5 days of ten minute walking!
