Hi, My name is Joanne I have been a sparks member for about 3 weeks. I love this website, it helps me keep on top of my calories, etc. I love this 10 minute challenge, I was not exercising even though I knew I should, but when broken down to 10 minutes, that I can do. I am going to do that also with my water, I don't even come close to 8 glasses but I can do 3, so that is were I will start. Thanks for this team.

Hello I'm Ruth from north central Oklahoma. I work out at Curves 3-4 days a week. And do 15 strength exercises on off days. I just don't seem to get in the cardio on the other days. I joined to keep me accountable for those days. I have loss 5.5 lbs so far since I started with SP in Feb. 2011. emoticon

Hey all! I'm Colleen and I live in southeastern NC by the beach. Even though I exercise more than 10min a day I thought this challenge would just keep me accountable. I love going to the gym so at least there's that! Speaking of the gym I'm off for my morning cardio and weight machines right now!

I want to get into a rhythm and be consistent especially when it comes to working out. I would sometimes start and do it for a while and then all of a sudden stop, and find it hard to get back into it again. Desiring a fresh start emoticon

Hi! I'm just starting out on this journey. I've been with SP for about 2 weeks now and decided that my ultimate goal isn't primarily to lose weight (although I want that too) but to be much fitter. Hi..I joined this team in hopes to get motivation to change my life. I'm doing this team for the second go-round :-) I have a list of "activities" and I choose one a day; today I'm doing grocery shopping! Take your pedometer to the grocery store some time when you have time and walk every aisle; mine is 1/2 mile around!

Hi i'm Falon!
I found Spark last week and i thought it was the perfect thing for me, it has that accountability that i need. My sister has a wedding in august (was may of next year but she moved in up), my overall goal is to lose about sixty pounds but i'm hoping i drop at least twenty before this wedding. I'm my sisters maid of honor and she wants me to wear a sleeveless dress, I haven't gone without a jacket or sweater since the middle of seventh grade so i'm very nervous about this. I joined this team to add even more accountability so i don't quit.
I'm already loving spark!!

I have been struggling with my weight all my life. Last year (2010) I joined weight watchers and lost 30 pounds. I was lighter than when we got married 9 years ago! I have since put 17 of those pounds back on after loosing my dad to cancer in December of 2010. I just can't seem to find my mojo anymore. On May 7th, I completed running my second half marathon! My issue is the emotional eating of everything. I'm totally stressed out at work, I'm still learning how to balance all of my mommy responsibilities along with working a full time job as a teacher. I exercise regularly, but I joined this challenge to push me to do something daily. If even for only 10 minutes. If I can start the 10 minutes challenge and follow thru with it, I'm hoping the eating part will come in a close 2nd. I just can't get myself back under control. But, I will say that I've found a lot of positive and motivational stories here on Spark, which is why I love this community!

Hello! I struggled just to get moving after several health problems last year, but now I am actually starting to enjoy exercise. (I didn't think that would ever happen!) My problem is that I'm not always consistent, so I want to try to make exercise a daily habit with 15 minutes or more every day instead of a random thing. Thanks for the challenge! Hey there! My name is Vicki and I live in the deep south state of Mississippi. I have had a tremendous weight gain after having surgery which halted my exercising. I am now up to 4 miles on my treadmill ( with my physician's permission) and needed back-up in my quest to
lose about 60 pounds. I was in the 130's until the surgeries but sitting with my leg elevated is definitely not conducive to weight loss. I am a registered nurse and realize how important it is to keep my weight at a more normal level. I am thrilled to have joined you, I hope not to be just a member but an encourager as well. My hobbies are playing my new baby grand piano, singing and gardening. (I am attempting to grow my fresh vegetables!) Let's get moving!

I have lost some weight, and my goal is to be slimmer before my 40th birthday in just under 7weeks and where I want to be before my 41st. In total I have about 22lb to loose, but loosing 9 more by 40 is the current goal.

Hi - My name is Mona. I quit smoking January 1st and with that came a weight gain of 10 pounds. The last time I quit I gained 40 pounds and vowed that would not happen again. Now I am exercising and eating right to lose ten pounds and stay at that weight. Good luck to all of you!
