Hello, I am starting again. I need to have a daily routine to stick to, no matter how I feel, with Fibromyalgia. I am happy to find this challenge to get me started without getting overworked and overwhelmed. My body is much happier with regular stretching and walking.

Hi all:

I'm Charlene - a 69 year old overweight woman. I have been working on losing weight for quite awhile now and have recently seen some really good progress. However, my "moving" still needs consistency and improvement. So I thought joining this challenge put a "spark" under my bum........

Hi, I'm Trina. I'm a type 2 diabetic, and I need to get myself healthy once and for all. I had great blood sugar control until my mom got cancer and died. I still haven't been able to make consistent changes for lasting success, and decided that I need to change. The 10 minutes of daily exercise is a great place to start!

Hi Erin! All the best on your health goals!!

Hi guys! I joined this challenge like a week ago, but I've been busy and sick so I haven't come around to say hi yet.

My name is Erin. I have a disability which has caused my weight to go dramatically in both directions. Right now it's up. I have to be careful with diet and exercise because if I go too hard (and the threshold is pretty low right now) I risk switching off my appetite entirely and tipping the scale too far....plus if I burn out, I get sick and lose motor functions and spend even less time alert and conscious. So...10min is about all I can do. I've been logging close to 20 total, but the bulk of that is light yoga. I thought this group might be good for me because my goals are to get in 10 without fail every day, but also to be careful not to up my game and crash. I need a group where 10 is enough and acknowledged as a victory.

My name is Nicky and I am new to the challenge. I have started 10 minutes daily for the past week after nearly a year off my fitness plan. I use to do at least 30-45 minutes exercise 5 times weekly but have not done any regular exercise for almost a year. I am excited to get back into it and already feel better.

I've been doing well with my exercise goals but this month could be more challenging since I'll be away for a week's vacation and starting to teach again in mid-August (very hectic time). This challenge should help me stick with my goals!

Hello, I'm Karen. I'm new to this particular challenge have started and stopped a few of them. This time I'm motivated by the fact I've lost about 20 lbs since 2016 and now I'm stuck. I figure if I can get 10 mins. of focused exercise daily that may help me get the next 6 lbs off. Working on a new meal plan as well. Hope this challenge will help me stayed focused and accountable as I encourage others.

Hi everyone, my name is Deb and I have completed several challenges along my Spark path. I have reached a goal weight with the thought that I not only want to maintain it, but perhaps move toward another 5 lb loss to see how I feel at that weight. I did not sign up for a BLC challenge this time due to the craziness of my work schedule during the summer months. My desk job keeps me anchored more than I like these days. This 10 minute challenge is just what I need to motivate me to move for 'little bits' of time rather than longing for a long bike ride, or walk. I want to see how these in-be-tween 10minute slots will help move me closer toward my goal of maintaining my strength and mobility. Thanks for being here!

Hi my name is Linda I also have been a member of Spark People for several years. Up and down with my weight loss. I am really getting mad at myself. So many spark buddies have come & gone. Some lost the weight others just disappeared. My blood work showed that I'm almost pre diabetic. That scares me. I don't exercise but I have to start somewhere. I figure 10 minutes a day is doable. I have been having a hard time getting back on track but I refuse to give up!

Hi, my name is Connie and I'm 52 years old. I've been a member of SparkPeople for quite a few years (about 7). When I started I had already met my goal weight and was trying to maintain it. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I went into a terrible tailspin and could not drag myself out of it for a couple years, it was so depressing. I received an Apple Watch for Christmas and that seemed to be the spark to get me motivated again. I use the Apple Watch with my Fitbit and try to meet all my goals every day. I'm hoping this challenge/team will be another way to keep me on track and motivated.

Hi, my name is Willow. I like everyone else have had weight issues my entire life. I have a wonderful husband and daughter and want to be around for them as long as I can. I don't presently have any health issues, but it is only a matter of time before I do. I have "dieted" my entire life, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. But the bottom line is I never give up on myself. I am hoping that all the years of experience in eating healthier and endless trips to the gym will click in my brain and cause me to have an epiphany and realize that I can change my lifestyle for the better.

Hello , my name is Patti Sue. I am 41 years old. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Last year I decided to loose weight, I have had my ups and downs but I have lost 60 pounds. I was exercising regularly, but stopped. I really need some inspiration so I decided to join this 60 day challenge. I am hoping to connect with others in my same boat so we can encourage one another.

Hi! My name is Myra. I heard about the 10 minutes of fitness challenge months ago and finally decided it was time to join the team. I live in NY and the weather is finally getting nice - much more conducive to walking, and I hope to include other types of activity in my day. I've been sort of missing in action lately on SparkPeople in general, but I'm looking forward to my participation in this team as a source of motivation to get me back on track.

Be mindful. The joy is in the journey.

Hi, my name is Diane. I am 74 and am not letting that number scare me or discourage me from getting healthy. I came to the conclusion that I can't do the same things I used to do, but I can do a lot more than I am doing. This challenge is perfect, the whole site is perfect, it is up to me to use the tools I have available. I WILL DO THIS!!!!!!! emoticon

Hi, everyone! My name is Rachel and I recently joined this team in hopes of finding motivation and accountability to exercise in some way on a daily basis.
I started a boot camp class three weeks ago and also started walking three miles on one of the days that I don't have boot camp. I increased my boot camp this week to three times and walked twice. Hoping to make walking a habit again...I really enjoy it!
Good luck to everyone!

Thank you Gal! I have a job that keeps me physically moving all day long, so the last thing I want to do when i get home is move!!! Last week was my first week with Spark coach and I committed to using the stairs instead of the elevator and I have stuck with it . Ten minutes excercise is the next step for me.

I think that's great! I'm having a hard time staying committed to my goals because life with my two girls gets in the way a lot! Just keep trying again and again and never give up. It's worth it to just keep trying; I'm trying to hold my ground at least and then as I keep trying I'm hoping it will just click one of these times. You can do it!!!!

Hi, I'm Joy. I have been so stagnant and off course. I'm working on getting and staying on course so I can actually lose weight. I walk, but that is not enough. I always try to Zumba, but that doesn't always happen. I'm going to try throwing in hula-hoop. It's fun with my daughters and I can pick it up anytime, as often as I want/can and do it while watching TV if I want. I just hope I can get the rhythm of it.
