Welcome back Cassie!

Come join us in the hot tub, that's where we all hang out and talk.
Looking forward to getting to know you. I've had both of my knees replaced, best decision I ever made. emoticon

Hi Janeez4!
Welcome back to the team! I'm sorry I missed your introduction. I'm pretty new at being a team leader and I don't always catch things.

My goodness you have had a lot of surgeries this year. I hope your knees are doing better and the pain is less. For me and a lot of other people with knee replacements it takes a year before you really feel normal again. I've never had a hip replacement so I don't know, I've heard the recovery is easier. I would say by June you should be feeling all kinds of relief.

Come join us in the Hot Tub where we all chat and keep in touch, there's only a few of us on there nowadays unfortunately. I miss the old days when there were lots of chatting. We would love to have you join us.

Shirley

Hello,

I joined this team a very long time ago with only arthritis in one knee. Recently, I've had a knee replacement on 9/21/2018 and the other knee 11/16/18. At the first knee replacement consult, I innocently asked if it would help the pain I've been having for a year where my leg meets my hip. Guess what!, I am bone on bone in the right hip too. I have that replacement scheduled in March, 2019.
I'm excited that by June 2019 , I expect to walk pain free. Will that be realistic?

What is essential is invisible to the eye.

No staples for my replacement either! The zip line is wonderful with less chance for infection, better healing, and less scarring!

emoticon to the team. Having a good doc makes all the difference to this joint replacement business. I've had one hip done so far & don't miss the pain at all. Hope the cortisone injections work well for you.

Hi Kater, and welcome to the group. We generally hang out in the pool, so feel free to join us in the discussion forum there. I just had my right knee replaced two weeks ago. I had my left one done 4 years ago, and what a difference! They have made a lot of new strides in knee replacement (no staples for one). I'm so glad I had it done.

I joined this team at some point in the past as I started to have knee problems, but quit when I let other life issues take priority. Now I'm back (at least a year later) and am working with Doctor that I like a lot. I'm facing replacing both knees and one hip. I want to educate myself about the whole experience before proceeding. I know that I want to lose weight first. My Doctor says that I have some time to work on this. Got cortisone injections in both knees earlier this week.
