I am new to Sparkpeople--in fact I didn't even hear about it until last week. I want to lose about 30 pounds, ultimately. I have been caught in a rut for the last few years. I added exercise to my routine a year ago and was very disappointed that exercise alone would not rid me of my pounds! My metabolism has slowed down and I can't eat the same amounts that I used to. My weakness is cheese and butter, and I am cutting down on that and upping the vegetable and water intake. I am glad to find this support network to make my changes a permanent part of my life and to encourage others in their weight loss journey.
