Hello! What a treat to be able to travel with people who have started the journey around the same time I have. I had been a yo-yo dieter for twenty years (coinciding with raising my kids) and quit in sheer self-defense some years ago. Dieting makes you fat! But I've slowly crept up on a 60 lb. excess over the last eight years, combination of sedentary office work and lack of self-control with food. It's time to get on track once and for all, and I think this site will help do it.

I've learned a lot about nutrition, discipline, motivation and rebound weight gain in my lifetime. As tempting as it is to use the tools here to lose weight rapidly, that isn't healthy and won't last, I guarantee. A healthy loss rate is around .5 to 2 lbs per week. I'm giving myself just over a year to reach my ideal weight of around 135. Hope to give and receive support from the team for all of us to stick with it, no matter how much we individually have to lose (or gain!).
