Thanks for this! I am glad to hear that your body adjusts. The lemon juice is a great idea too, I am definitely getting some of that today.

As annoying as it is, I think the water is important. It keeps us hydrated, particularly since a crucial part of losing weight is exercising and most of us work up a good sweat. Water also plays an important part in all our bodily functions. And, I believe, it keeps that vexing "water weight" off of us.

I have found that after a few days of drinking the 8 glasses a day (or more), your body becomes accostomed to the extra liquid and the bathroom trips lessen. Also, if you sip the water throughout the day rather than chugging huge quantities at once, it may lessen your trips. I have a hard time drinking water too, so I add a low-calorie Crystal Light on-the-go flavor mix into a liter of water (otherwise it's too sweet for me) and squeeze in some fresh lemon juice. That way I get the good taste of a diet soda without the calories and all the water I need!

Hope that helps.

hi there,
how essential do you think the 8 glasses of water are? I'm finding it to be a lot of water and a lot of time spent running to the washroom. is this crucial to success? i do find myself craving my diet soda less so that is good but I just find it sort of annoying.
