Hi Anna, and welcome! Remember small changes...you cannot change overnight! The best tip I can give is to plan your meals...pack your food on the days you work, and then you won't be as tempted to run to the cafeteria or order out. Good luck and stay focused!

Hi Anna and WELCOME!! so glad you are joining us!! that tracker is a real wake up call, it was for me anyhow. But it also let me see where i was messing up which is a GOOD thing!!

Hi everyone, This is my first week at sparkpeople and I'm still learning all the ropes. Right now I am just tracking what I eat and have found that my diet really SUCKS!!! I have foung that being responsible for what I put in my mouth has really made me think about what I have done to my self over the years. I like to eat who dosen't. I have been making better choices this week. I have to be honest about what I eat even if it's something that isn;t healthy. Seeing it on my nutrition tracker is a wake up call. So as I get into next week I hope to get exercising I just need to find time. Maybe an excuse yes I'm not big on exercise. Yeah another challenge! Ok you want to know about me? I'm married with 1 chid. I work full time as a nurse. I work 16 hour shifts on Sat and Sun Which can be a problem when making healthy food choices . I also work 8 hours on tues in the evening. So you think I have alot of time? I help a diabled Aunt who lost her leg from diabetes. I love her dearly I just don't want to follow inithose foot steps . My father had diabetes also and has lost his vision from macular degeneration. so Of course he no longer can drive. I'm not complaining I'm just very busy. Did I mention I also go to school . I'm working on getting my ADN and then my Bachlors degree. Well I need to go duty calls again. until next time Anna M.
