Hi Everyone,
I have been using SparkPeople for about 2 months and only just found the SparkSaving when I was looking around the SparkPoints and was thrilled to find it. I have been actively working on budgeting for about 3 months and it has been a process that the Lord has placed on my heart. I am now in a job where I also give money management and budgeting advice! God has a way of working those things we do together. Looking forward to meeting all of you too.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

Hope you'll accept my sincere dedication to expressing Christ. I do live in grace. I write, but don't make my living from it; although that too is opening to me as I allow it.

I have expressed my recent experience, becoming Baptized, here:

Hi from Florida, my name is Doris. This is sight is such a blessing. Finances is an area that I need to look at and pray about as my retirement savings are gone and I have a lot of life left in me.
I live in a moble home with my husband and two sons. DH is a traumatic brain injury surviver 1995, and stroke survivor last July. He retired in 1992 and worked part time until the TBI. Since he worked for the postal service he is not eligible for disability. The sons are underemployed and not paying as much as they should toward the expenses. Our daughter lives in Las Vegas, her husband was out of work for about 2 1/2 years so they have been unable to pay back the money we loaned them. I work from home as a customer service rep. We have tithed for years and that is not negotiable, I believe God has blessed us in our circumstances.

Doris - South Florida

God is able to make all grace abound to you so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

I want to take a moment and tell you a little about myself and my financial goals.
In 2007 I stopped working because of a chronic physical condition. Hospital bills and the waiting game for disability depleted all of my savings and I've been living from pay check to pay check on 60% of my salary.
One thing I can say about trials - they certainly test your faith! It's where the rubber hits the road in what you choose to trust. For me it has been Christ! One miracle I'll share with you now is since I've stopped working, I haven't made one mortgage payment! The money has always come from other sources.
This doesn't mean that I have all the answers. I'm no expert in any of this. I haven't always been attentive to righteousness and only recently become a consistent tither. But I've learned to grow in godliness. Another fact I've learned...The Word Works!!!
I pray we will all walk in the law of the Lord and accept our blessings and in turn be a blessing to others.

His Lord said to him, "Well done , good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord." Matthew 25:21
