Hi ALL~
My hubby is the sweet tooth in our house here ( i am the fat and carbo eater~lol )
When hubby and I started our journey to better eating and health~ i felt badly for him not being able to eat his beloved sweets!
So I encouraged him to experiment with "no sugar" and "low fat" and "low caloric" products and foods. He did~ and came up with several things he has to help satisfy his sweet tooth.
One is sugar free jello. Once mixed...before he pours this into his ramekin dishes he measures out 1/4 cup of Kellogs Special K vanilla /almond cereal...crushes it up a bit more and divides that into the 4 ramekin dishes. Then he adds a few small cut up strawberries..and sometimes a half a banana cut up in small pieces. Then pours the prepared jello over the top of all this into the 4 dishes...and lets it all set.
If you add this up for each dish you have less than 50 calories~~ sometimes he will eat this as is~ other times he will lift this into a bigger bowl and pour any yogurt that you amy want that ONLY contains 35 calories for the wee container! So even with that added it is still under 100 calories.
he is now into the "fat free: Jello puddings. The two he likes are Butterscotch and White Chocolate. 1/4 of the mixture is 20 calories I think. So again he will even add some fruit he likes when he eats these.
~lol~ he has tried the low cal Cool Whip and likes it too! ~ BUT likes it so much that when it is in the fridge he tends to open it and just eat some every time he opens the fridge door!~LOL~ so he asked me to stop buying that ~~
