You're welcome! We do not really have any official rules. If you want to take a look at our "rules" which are really just freedoms to kind of do what you want, we have a post in the forums about that. The challenge is really what you make of it. I think it would be a good goal to cook one new recipe per week. We have a goal for that and you can join that goal by clicking on that on our team's page (but that's certainly not required or expected).

Other than that, just pick a group of recipes (or book) and then start on your way! I, personally, picked a year to do mine but some members have no set time limit. Some even are picking the recipes as they go. The one rule I have is have fun!! emoticon

Thanks for the great welcome! I am doing Atkins (sort of) and probably have an Atkins cookbook somewhere. I have about 15 that I'll have to scan through this weekend and see which one will be the winner. So, what are the rules? Start at Page 1 and work your way through?

Thanks again for the great welcome!

Hey, Julie! Welcome to the group!! emoticon We are so glad you joined! Looks like you are doing Atkins and I'm sure there are great cookbooks out there for that. Kemgria has some great ideas. Is there a particular type of cookbook that you are looking for?

Good luck and I look forward to reading how things go and that you find a cookbook very soon!! emoticon emoticon

Hi Halfangel emoticon and welcome to the group!! Choosing a cookbook is definitely half the battle - if you don't have one right now that you want to cook through, a good way to start is to look online for cookbooks in a particular category that you are interested in (for example, if you're looking for quick and healthy, you can look for books that fit those requirements, or low sodium, veg*n, etc). Then when you find one that looks interesting, have a look around for user reviews on the book to see what people who have actually tried it think.

Also, there are no hard and fast rules here - if you find a website that has lots of recipes, then you could cook through that, or a collection of recipes from different books - it's really all up to you and what challenge you want to take on!

Good luck and I'm excited to hear about your choice and all your cooking adventures! emoticon

Guess I better go shopping for a good cook book to work my way through. Do you have any suggestions?
