Hi there all you avid gardeners.......thank you so much for the warm welcome. I'm happy to become a part of this team. I live in Seattle and today is one of those days that makes me want to get outside and plant some pretty little daffodils and some of those cute little purple miniature iris.

My crocus actually are blooming and I can hardly believe they made it through the winter! Actually Seattle's "winter" is pretty mild compared with so many other areas of the USA. Just finished walking with my little Havanese dog named Pepe. He makes me feel guilty if I don't take him out at least every other day. He's not too crazy about the rain in Seattle but that won't stop him from going walking!

I've been a member of Sparkpeople since 2012 (I think) but after many "starts and stops" I plan on sticking with my plan. My doctor told me to lose some weight and I guess that's what I needed to hear (the voice of authority). I plan to stay with it until I lose 25-30 pounds this time around. I'm not one to lose and then gain back the weight.....I just never have lost those pounds I gained these past few years. So I am determined to stay with Sparkpeople, track my weight and fitness and look for good results! I do hope to hear from some of you and maybe we can talk about our gardening efforts!

"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he!" One of the Proverbs from King Solomon in the Bible. We must keep our attitude right in order to accomplish our worthy goals!
