Hi, welcome to the team.
Find yourself a substitute habit for your emotional eating, hopefully one that burns a few calories, like walking. When you feel like eating because your bored or lonely, take a 10-20 walk, look at the neighbors gardens, say hi to your neighbors, You will feel less bored and lonely and it will help you lose some weight and feel better about yourself. And while your at it log the distance you are walking on the team's Virtual Walk and help us make our 10,000 mile goal for the year.

Pick one thing to do for a week. How about drinking water, then build on that.
Then perhaps add walking for 15mins a day.

It can seem over whelming but you can do it. emoticon

Watching salt intake also trying not to buy foods that have high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.

No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.

If an item has more than 10 ingredients I put it on the Do Not Buy List as it is too processed.

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 93 pounds.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal.

I am new to the "team".I am the most miserable that I have ever been.Weighing more now than ever. Feeling like there is no hope but somewhere when I read the sucess stories I can feel a glimmer of hope. I am an emotional eater which I have already realized,mostly out of boredom or loneliness. It is the only thing I can "controlled" which is funny because it is the worse thing,so out of control that I am ashamed of myself and hate to go anywhere but yet realize I have missed so much. Am looking for a buddy who is around 60,loves the outdoors.I am a great listener and really appreciate the site.
