Yes - not much posting by folks other than me. I would give it up, but enough folks seem to appreciate me posting the Browncoat related odds and ends that I run across to keep me at it.

thanks. i hadn't really checked out the content of "active" when i joined .. i just saw there were some recent posts on a number of topics ... but then after i joined and before i wrote my intro i looked and saw it was really just you posting a few things here and there. shame though it's still a fun topic and so many relevant bits to discuss and a lot of the actors on new shows that could be chatted about.

Howdy!

When I read your topic title, I was reminded of the scientist that had to "release courage" to face the aliens and get his stuff to save the world in the movie "Battleship". And in a sense, it sounds like you are doing something similar by getting your "stuff" together to save your world.

Welcome to the team. We aren't incredibly active. I think most people enjoy the memories that just seeing the team icon on their list gives them. Still, this is a great place to talk about anything Firefly/Serenity faintly related.

Stay SHINY!

Hi there. Guess it's time to just jump in with an intro. For so long I've just led a team and didn't really branch out to joining other teams. and a lot of the ones i joined when i first signed up weren't really active or it was just the same people posting the same stuff day in and day out so I unjoined. but it's time to mingle with new folks :-) ones that feel like family no matter what state of health or zip code I'm in.

For the longest time I was a member of the Yahoo Browncoats group in Ohio and in Los Angeles. When I first moved to Pasadena in 2006 I went to the Can't Stop the Serenity screening and won a signed script and a CD and met some really cool people. some of whom were from Ohio and actually know people I knew. small world indeed. Anyways, fast forward a number of years and I'm back in Ohio... but in rural SE ohio now and it feels kind of lonely sometimes, well a lot of time actually. Every time I travel I meet and socialize with people and it reminds me why I keep going and why I'm on this journey to take back control of my health. one small baby step at a time! COURAGE baby COURAGE

I'm in no hurry on this journey and I have trouble making goals. I often feel like as soon as I set a goal I open room for failure. Sure I could smash through the goal in record time but *eek* what if I don't .. what if it's a struggle ... what if ... well screw the what ifs and I just choose to pay attention to now .. to today ... what would the healthier version of me do now ... let's do that or at least part of that .. and don't feel guilty if I eat 3 ice cream bars all day b/c i'm frustrated at life (that was yesterday).

anyways before I ramble too much. I'm feeling better today. Got in some fitness by wrangling the vacuum across "damp" carpet in this humidity where everything feels wet and you have to use a fork to scrape off some seasonings that have clumped in the container.... 3 loads of laundry almost done drying and luggage finally put away from vacation that ended may 10th.
