Hello. I just joined the team.

I was discharged from the hospital yesterday after a lobectomy (upper right lung). The cancer was contained to one spot but it had almost eaten through the wall of the lung. The oncologist will tell me if radiation or chemo is still needed. I am just thankful that it was found and removed before it spread to other organs.

I have a great support system here at home through family, friends and church. The discovery of my cancer is being the catalyst for family members who still smoke to quit. I quit smoking 6 1/2 years ago but not soon enough it seems.

I look forward to meeting other members of the team and sharing hopes, dreams and if need be, setbacks.
