I do best with 7-8 hours sleep a night and I'm pretty consistent getting 7. Every now and then there's a night where I can't sleep, but thankfully, that isn't often.

How much sleep is best for you? How consistently do you get this much?

I used to be able to function well and for quite some time on 6 hours of sleep. A good thing as a full-time RN and a single Mom. Then ever 4-6 months I'd sleep almost around the clock.

For the last 10 years or so, I've been able to be very consistent with 6-1/2 to 7-1/2 hours, and I'm VERY consistent. I sleep about 6 hours straight, like I've always done. I lie down darned near every day for at least an hour. I nap, wake up thoroughly refreshed. And then I stay lying down awhile longer, reading.
