welcome.

you have a great plan to start out slow and increase slowly. it helps especially with arthritis. as Jan says, "it is better to move than not to move"
i get stiff if i sit to long and i get stiff if stand to long. i seem to do best if i move, but then there are days Arthritis is painful, but i still try to move as it helps. i have a dog Panda and she loves to go for walks and bark at the neighbors as if to say hi to them. she loves people.

Welcome to the team. You're in the right place. I also have a partially torn rotary cuff muscle and both knees have arthritis. It's a new way of being and moving. Do what you can in a pain free range of motion and always remember that slow movement is better than no movement and something, no matter what, it better than nothing.

Hi,
I just posted about myself in the wrong place. I just will say I am here (not this team) for the 3rd time. I seem to lose motivation after a few mos. I don't want to do that this time. I have bad knees, torn rotary cuff, back and shoulder pain. Depressed lately feel all alone even though I have two great sons who are there for me. I started a video walkk 10 min and I am adding 10 more in moving exercises. Right now I have motivation and sure hope to succeed. High weight was 265 low 155. Kept most off for 16 yrs. Need to take off 25 lbs to my goal of 148.

If Not Now, When!
