emoticon emoticon emoticon You are in the right place. We are here to support each other. Hard to accept all this arthritis pain but I guess it's part of the ageing process. I will be 65 next month and have already had both my hips replaced. I'm really noticing the arthritis in my hands now but thank God it is osteo and not rheumatoid. I am a church musician so I have to keep using my hands. I have a squeeze ball; maybe I should be using it more often to keep up the strength in the hands.

Good morning, just joined this team. Spent yesterday at orthopedics. I have bursitis in my hip with arthritis developing, and possible bursitis in my shoulder or a torn tendon. 2 cortisone shots and on to physical therapy. I also have arthritis in both knees and in my hands. Arthritis in hands is so bad I can't hold knitting needles anymore. So I am from Montana, I will be 68 this month. I live 11 miles from the nearest town and 90 miles from the nearest city.

I can do it with your help!

emoticon Hello Jae. I have had both my hips replaced. So nice not to have to go through all the pain and discomfort any more. However, I still tend to waddle somewhat but I think it could be because of my weight and that the knees are starting to wear out. Take care.

Hi everyone! I'm 63 and live in south central Texas. I have been diagnosed with arthritis in more parts of my body than I care to explain. When I feel like the pain is so bad that I have to go see the doctor, tests always reveals another spot with arthritis. I have been so incredibly achy since I started on Naturally Slim and SparkPeople last week. I totally dread going back to the doctor on Monday for my 3 month check-up.

I am a traumatic brain injury survivor. It'll be 3 years on the 25th. Someone else did that to me and I have to learn to deal with all of the side issues for the rest of my life. Every new day means another day that I'm not letting this get the best of me!

Movement is extremely painful most days and I would love to learn how others are dealing with it while trying to lose weight.

Hello all.

I am new to the team. Most of my intro you can find by going to my Spark Page.

I've joined the group for motivation to keep moving through the pain.

My personal goals are simple right now: walk a bit outside, eat enough fiber, eat 5-7 fruits & veggies.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Blessings,
Beth in OH

I am new here. I am 44 and I'm married with 2 girls. My husband is an upholsterer with fibromyalgia who had 2 discs replaced last January but had to return to work only a month after surgery, so he still works and hurts. He has both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. My girls are Summer, a freshmen in high school this year and Serena, a freshman in college .

Now about me: I have about 160 pounds to lose. I have lost 50% cartilage loss in my left knee and a torn meniscus in my right. I have osteoarthritis and hurt a lot. I take a water pill and an anti- inflammatory 2 times a day but it doesn't help much. Can you all point out some exercises I can do that won't hurt too bad, please?

I can sympathize. I have psoriatic arthritis and leaky heart valves, which they won't fix. I am tired all the time and light headed! Also have metabolic issues. I have gained 30 pounds in 2 years. Meeting with an endocrinologist soon and a urologist. Looking for a nutritionist to work with . I was doing water aerobics but couldn't get the energy to go in the cold weather. Need to start again! Think I will also try yoga. I also work 25-27 hours a week with toddlers from 11-6, so I need to find morning classes. My better half won't appreciate this, but...If you need an ear I am here for you

Hi, I'm Kelly. I have been on and off SP since 2006. I came back about a year ago after being gone for about 3 or 4 years due to illness. In 2014 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. Changed my whole world. I am trying to figure out how to lose weight by eating healthier with a body that just can't do all that much anymore (physically). I am 54, married and a SAHM to a teenage son.

Hello. My name is Pam and I have been a long-standing SP member since 2010. I have torn rotator cuffs and within the last month of shoulder pain, found out that my shoulder joint is bone on bone with calcium deposits, so am doing only shoulder physical therapy exercises for my shoulders. Searched for an arthritis group and liked this one for the challenges.

I have known that OA is present in several joints. By xray yesterday I now know that it is bone on bone on the lateral aspect of my right knee. The PA did a cortisone injection, indicated replacement in the future after a possible trial with gel injection.
I am here for support and info.
Thanks

Hi, I'm here on my ... I'm not sure how many trip to Spark people. Over the years I've been a member at various times and so far lost just over 30kgs with a long way to go. Very pleased that I'm at my lowest for 15 years though even if it is just the "start". I also know that while I'm dealing with a number of medical issues, I'm much better off for having begun to get healthier and that everything i'm dealing with will also continue to be helped by further weight loss and further focusing on living healthier and a better life. Right now I'm focusing on a personal eight week lose 5% challenge as a kick off to return to a healthier life; and glad to be here as well. I'm in my mid-40's, Australian, single and work part time in a job I enjoy. I'm currently restricted by not being able to do much in the way of exercise but I hope that will change soon. Meanwhile I know my eating habits need a lot of work so that's a good place to focus, and my emotions/stress/etc. etc. etc. Look forward to meeting people here and encouraging one another. I have been diagnosed with OA in my hips and neck, and my physiotherapist is fairly sure in my knees as well (along with who knows how many other areas)

One step at a time we can do it!

Welcome to the team Christy! My weight has been getting back on track since the hip surgery. I make sure I get up and wander around the house doing whatever I am capable of doing. That's not much more than doing my physio exercises though. I will be out walking soon enough!

Congrats on the 2nd new hip! Hope your rehab goes smoothly and you feel better and younger than ever.

DJ - You are working it! Hospital stays are definitely weird, especially when on pain medication. I have to say I like the nurses alot and my surgeon so it wasn't that unpleasant except for pain and fear lol! PT was the most tortuous part but I have to say I feel so much better now. Even started back to the gym and went on a hike last weekend Yay!

Hope you all are having a great week. Stay strong!

Hello everyone, I just got through a total left hip replacement a week ago. now both sides are done so hopefully there will be no more waddling for me. It is taking time to get my energy back but I am three years older than the last time around. Not easy getting through a major surgery. I still try to do what I can independently since I don't qualify for much outside help.
Have a good day and talk to you later.

Aloha Cat -

It's nice to hear other people have put off surgery and that your losing weight helped ... and then to hear when you had to have the surgery you have/are recuperating nicely!!!

I do not 'do doctors' - ha! Much less surgery! Have never had one so NOT looking forward to the experience nor have I ever been in the hospital (except one incident when a very young child). I am also a very private/reclusive person so can you IMAGINE what kind of patient I'd be???? ha!

So to avoid that I'm doing all I can to be healthy, lower inflammation in my body, LOSE WEIGHT (get the pressure OFF my knees) ... while working on the 'reality' that 'someday' I am going to have to face knee replacement(s) but hopefully in the best health possible, and with a healthier, stronger 'stable' mindset about it all so I won't end up being the worst patient ever - ha!

Hi Cat...I'm sorry I didn't see your introduction until now. welcome to the team. I too will be facing a knee replacement. I do have bone on bone in my right knee. I keep putting off I guess out of fear. i have learned how to walk and do things as to not irritate my knee.

you can add some insight to us who are eventually facing knee replacement down the road.

do you have any suggestions you might like to see on the up coming challenge?

the challenge that will be ending on Sat. Jan.15. it is "the end of the year holiday challenge 2016" if you want to check that out. i need to work up another one. it will also be on trying to make better habits. i have been lax in signing in due to personal reasons.

Thanks DJ. I'm always up for a new challenge. What will the next one be?

Losing weight can certainly postpone the need for surgery. I was able to hold off for 8 years, taking off 30 lbs and slowing down a bit made a huge difference in the pain level. Then all of a sudden last year after a big move and a new injury it was either a wheelchair or total joint replacement. It was scary but I'm so glad I was able to do it and have recuperated so well and quickly.

Hello, my name is Cat and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm recovering from a total knee replacement and trying to get my mojo back so I can lose 40 lbs. I have osteoarthritis in many joints now and have had surgery to replace joints in my foot and knee. I have to say I feel better than I have in at least 10 years so I'm hoping to get my activity level back up again. Take care all!

GypsyAnnLee...i would like to help you on your journey as i also need support on my journey. my life is a difficult one and i don't talk about it as i'm embarrassed of it. i stress eat as i'm stressed every day. on Wed. of this week i had to make the decision to put down my 14 yr. old Australian Shepherd. she was my rock and great protector. she saw me through some really rough times with my crohns.

i'm married, but that is where most of my stress comes from.

must run and get something done. be back later tonight, but who knows how much my brain will be working by then.

have a good day and hugs.

DJ,

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I have already given some thought to changing the types of classes I lead. I am yoga certified but only teach once a week. I would like to increase those classes and perhaps look more into Pilates and perhaps even aquatics even though I am NOT fond of the water. I may just have to learn to like the water (or at least tolerate it).
Looking forward to learning more from others!

Aloha Jan and Welcome to the team!

So sorry for your knee condition and how it's impacting your life. I'm a newer member to this team and don't really have much in the way to offer as suggestions ... I'm sure other members here will be able to contribute with that.

I did just want to say though this new condition with your knees is impacting your living as a fitness instructor, and that must be hard to accept/deal with, it might could be looked upon as an 'opportunity' as well. An opportunity to maybe look into a different type of fitness instruction ... for those of us with limitations. I know the community of challenged movement people could always use more good fitness instructors who have faced the issue(s) themselves and truly understand.

I wish you the best as you adapt to the situation you've encountered ... and look forward to getting to know you better.

We all need to KEEP MOVING ... take care, dj

Jan welcome to the team. look around and check out the forums and start a new one if need or just ask a question and some will reply. so sorry to hear your problem and ouch that does hurt more than one way for you. with your work and with your body.

i have found for me to keep moving and a few other things i do. i try and walk my dog Panda daily and i do push myself. walking does help with the movement. try walking instead of running and see how that works for you.

Hi,
I am new to this team. I was on three Spark running teams and then my knees really started bothering me in May. Now, X-rays, physical therapy and finally MRIs later, I have learned my cartilage is degenerating in my knees and I have a cyst behind my left patella. Sigh.... No more running it looks like.
This has been very difficult for me to deal with as I make my living as a group fitness instructor. Not a good problem for a person who moves for a living. I'm trying to figure out how to work around this, but any support from members here would be welcome. I'm looking forward to learning from others how they are able to stay active with this type of daily pain.
Thanks,
Jan

Aloha,

I'm DJ - I'm 62 years old for the next few days - my birthday is coming up this Tuesday. I'm retired living on the Big Island of Hawaii with my DH, Bill and our rescue cocker spaniel, Daisy.

I'm a knitter, crafter, avid book reader and my husband and I love to 'read' together (he didn't ever pick up a book till we retired), play cards and sometimes take naps in the afternoons so not MUCH MOVEMENT going on - ha! On the flip side we bought an undeveloped lot in a rural/ag area and are hand-clearing it so there's a LOT of work there. We've been living on it in a motor home for about 11 months now and sometimes I look around and see YEARS of yard work/landscaping yet to be done.

In 2013 I went to a health fair and discovered I had severe hypertension and edema ... the cardiologist recommended I go 'vegan' and walk 45 minutes daily to get my blood pressure down the fastest since I was not wanting to take meds. I never got to the part of telling him about my 'knees and hips'!!!!!! I did 'go vegan' as much as I could and my blood pressure responded quickly ... I started clearing up a whole host of 'symptoms' (ringing in my ears, my vision improved, my hearing improved, and others) and even my inflammation and pain in my joints improved. But I never got 'into' the walking 45 minutes daily.

This year I wanted to get my weight OFF once and for all (dieted ALL my life) ... to take pressure off my knees more than anything. Exercise is the hardest for me to do!!! I love the yard work and can sometimes do it for hours but make me exercise 20 min and it's tough going - ha! I LOVE WALKING ... and HIKING ... used to do 1-5 miles all the time! Daily. Not anymore. A month or so ago I started out doing 10 min top ... pain too bad. I managed to slowly work up to an hour on some days. But I can either walk OR do yard work ... my body can't do BOTH presently which frustrates the heck out of me.

I use a pain rub when I have to ... I'm extremely reluctant to take OTC pain meds. The only time I do is when we are going shopping ... it's a 150 mile roundtrip drive to either Kona or Hilo to do shopping - then there's all the walking/standing in checkout in the stores once there. This past year I only went 3 times ... my husband handled most of our shopping or I did a LOT online. I just can't handle the long car ride ... plus more.

I'm trying to get my eating 'back into shape' ... I am basically eating whole foods/plant based type plans ... a mixture of McDougall and Ayurveda ... vegan when I can which now is about 90% of the time. BTW - my husband and I sell our crafting at the local Farmer's Market (he also piddles around with woodworking) ... but he also sells grassfed beef for a local rancher ... so here I am vegan with a hubby with NO WEIGHT issues (or health for that matter) who SELLS beef AND brings it home - ha! I have to eat a burger once in a while! ha!

I feel my 'diet' has more impact on my inflammation and pain than anything else. This coming month (since I've not done all that well in MAY) I'm hoping to get back into doing yoga, tai chi and Walk Away the Pounds dvds and sometimes walking outside on the pavement. Our roads are unpaved and full of lava rocks so that can be precarious on my knee situation sometimes. Once I get to our sub-division's main road however it is paved. Lots of hills though - cannot do those either ... for now.

I've got to get it ALL going at the same time ... food/exercise ... but most of all ATTITUDE and desire/motivation ... which is why I wanted to join this group for support in that. Support from people that REALLY KNOW what it feels like ... and how frustrating it can be.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!! And hopefully to be encouraging and helpful here.

with aloha, dj

Bonnie...welcome to the team...i walk most of the time...haven't the past 2 weeks as i am processing seedlings and that is a tiring job as i stand all day while processing the seedlings. so there is no energy for walking. i usually walk with my one Australian shepherd Panda. i will soon be back to walking daily. i can't wait to be back walking and enjoying watching Spring unfold in the area i live. just watching the seasonal flowers bloom and wild life. Hope you find the support here is wonderful. Hugs to you.

Ann...this cold weather has made my knees stiff and hard to walk. today weather was cold 24 degrees and the sun was out so took a mile walk with my dog. i have found out if i keep moving even when i hurt and stiff it does help me in a long run. i do take fish oil and vitamin c and i think it does help me. i had a cortisone shot in my one knee last spring that is bone on bone and i haven't had any more. i do tend to handle pain very well and don't take to meds for pain. i do find also my problem this time of the year is harder on my knees when i have to take my boots off as i end up pulling on my knee joints trying to pull the boots off and with snow and ice if i slip it messes up the knees get the picture. i do though love the snow, but not the ice. just hang in there...and do the best you can.

Hi! I have had arthritis in hips, knees and back for at least 10 years. It's getting worse and I find it harder to gio to work. Last week I had cortisone injection in both knees. One worked but the other seems worse. I have been reading up on foods that make it worse, like potatoes or tomatoes. The nightshade (high alkaline) group. I don't know if anyone else here is familiar with this? I'm hoping to get some ideas for eating better, losing weight and exercising to control the pain. I'm taking meds but they don't always work.

This site has helped me to loose a few pounds. I also take several supplements that seem to help with pain. I ran out of Turmeric/Curcumin & Boswella and can really tell since I am having more pain. I have ordered more.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome Wishful54...i know what it is like with the knees. i have one knee that is bone on bone and the other knee still has some cushion in it. right now i'm standing lots as this is a very busy time of the year for me. when i stand too long i have a hard time bending my knees. then when i sit too long i have a hard time getting my knees straight. right now even sitting 10 - 15 minutes i have a hard time straightening up, also my one knee locks up on me and it is very painful. unfortunately i'm not checking in with the team daily and it will be getting worse for me the next 3-4 weeks. lets try and keep each other motivated. Hugs.

Hi, I am returning to Spark People, looking for some new friends and hoping to be encouraged out of my rut. I have severe osteoarthritis in both knees, my hip and my back which makes exercise difficult but not impossible. I just need to find some things that I can do. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. emoticon

Welcome ANDREAJOYCAMERO...feel free to check out everything on the site and if you have a question you can start a new thread and if you don't know how just ask. we are here to support each other and to help each other through our best days and our worst days and everything in between. unfortunately i'm so super busy this time of the year that i will probably be more absent than around. i try and check in on the team daily, but for me to reply i just might not write something lucid.

my friend and i are going to walk our dogs later this afternoon. i find that very helpful for my arthritis in my knees and the walk helps to keep me moving. unfortunately my daily walk with my dog is going by the roadside due to needing to work.

Well, again WELCOME...the members on this team are very friendly and helpful and super supportive.

Welcome Andrea

My S.O. loved Australia. He visited twice & really wanted to return but passed away two years ago. I am trying to loose weight too & have cut back on my meds. They were putting pounds on & I need to take off about 50.

Enjoy the journey to better health.

Hi everyone, I'm Andrea and new to SparkPeople. I live in Sydney, Australia and I have psoriatic arthritis. I'm hoping that joining this team will encourage me with exercise and weightloss. The dr just increased my medication but I think I would do better if I lost some weight.

I found out yesterday that my thirteen year old maltese has breast cancer. I am not going to put her through surgery. Just going to take it one day at a time. She is not acting sick at this time. I have another dog that is 11 years old. I will not replace them. It is all I can do to take care of myself. I will love them to the end but no more animals. I may volunteer at a rescue shelter. Thanks for the good idea.

Welcome SEDONACAT...we are here to help each other through good and bad days. i admire you for volunteering at a Lab Rescue shelter. i'm sure you find it very rewarding and unfortunately painful with all that you have going on. Sorry to hear about your Lab passing away in Jan. they are like family to us and we miss them.

that sounds like a good idea with using a sock with warm rice in it and the Epsom salts bath. i can't take NASAIDS either and i have been toughing it out with only Tylenol...i never thought of the warm rice, but i sure do use the warm Epsom salts baths for my arthritis.

i like your wish about there was no need for a group for arthritis.

have a good bay. Hugs.

Hi, I'm new. I am a retired RN, doula, childbirth and parenting educator. I volunteer at a Lab rescue shelter once or twice a wk since our 12 yr old Lab died in January. The volunteer work aggravates my Fibro and also my newly diagnosed "extensive" arthritis in my neck and entire spine & scoliosis. I'd thought the pain and stiffness was only from the Fibromyalgia until I fell 2 mo. ago. My xrays showed my spine to be a lot older than the rest of me. LOL

Anyway, I use warm rice in a sock and Epson salts baths when I come home from working with the dogs. I can't take NSAIDS at all which would help the most. This wk I was prescribed a new muscle relaxant at bedtime but haven't taken it yet.

Happy to have found this group altho I really wish there was no need for a grp for Arthritis!

Paula, I look forward to hearing how the flotation belt works for you. Do what you can while you can to avoid having any joint replacement. Rest assured, however, down the road if one of the joints gets totally worn out, then go through with a replacement. Recovery takes quite a while to get through but in the end it is very much worthwhile. My mobility was getting so bad that it affected my being able to work at a job which I love. Fortunately, I had a second job wherein they were more willing to see me through. Had I not gone through with a total hip replacement perhaps I would now be in a wheelchair. Thank God for today's advancements in the medical field.

Thankyou ICEUB. I do plan to do much better than I have done in the past and am hoping with the flotation belt I will now finally be able to stick with an exercise regime that will work for me.

My motto is "You are what you think" and "Your thoughts create your reality" and "You can't live a positive life with a negative mind" so I do know that we can do anything we set our minds to IF we really want to.

Hello, I am Paula a 49 year old married mother of two. Jake 20 and Sarah 19.

I am a team leader of the Holistic Healthy Lifestyle Team and a believer of not being a part of too many teams, so as to be fair to the teams you are in. It's only right I think to be an active participating team member and with being in too many teams I believe that it can be challenging to be an active member.

I currently weight in at 56.6 kilo's I aim to get down to 55 kilo's and maintain at that. If I could get down to 52 kilo's and maintain that would be awesome but 55 kilo's will do for a start. I believe it will be better for my hip arthritis for sure if I have less weight.

I have hip osteo arthritis in both. Doctors and specialists told me a few years ago I would need to have 2 hip replacements which I refused to have, or at least put off as long as possible. I am doing things naturally, fixing my diet, weight loss and the like. I take natural supplements to help and hardly ever take pain killers unless it is really necessary I can go weeks without needing any pain killers then one week I may need pain killers 2 days in row. It's kind of random for me how it affects me.

I wear orthotics shoes all the time or shoes with orthotics in them without them I am unable to walk due to my arthritis.

I also have Scoliosis in my back have had it since I was a teenager. I wore a back brace then for 2 years which prevented it getting any worse.

My issues make exercising very difficult. So am unable to do much of that other than normal stuff like housework, gardening when I am able.

I found an idea to help with exercise something that I am hoping I'll be able to successfully do with my Arthritis of the hips. I have tried many different types of exercises in the past only to fail as they cause me more troubles with my hips than it is worth.

I have decided to wear a flotation belt and do water walking in a heated indoor pool near us and when the weather warms up will do it in my dad's outdoor swimming pool.

I have just purchased this flotation belt from a site in ebay today:

I think (hope) with this flotation belt on I will be able to water walk for 1/2 an hour 3 times a week with a days break in between (so as not to be too hard on my hips) I think it can work as my feet won't be on the ground so I'll be non weight bearing.

This may help some of you with your exercise maybe? I'll let you know how it all goes when it arrives and I've had time to try it out.

I try to eat healthy and organically where possible and avoid all preservatives and additives and processed food where and when I can. Plus I am wheat free most of the time not Gluten free & trust me when I tell you there is a difference between the two because there is. (I am not celiac just prefer to avoid wheat most of the time)

I Drink reverse osmosis water from my water filter. Use Australian made and owned cleaning products that are non toxic and without any harsh chemicals.

I have interests in candles, reading, feng shui, computers, positive thinking, spirituality, new age thinking, Leptin Diet, soccer and gardening & beginning Sewing to name a few.

I am an avid believer in it's not a diet but a healthy lifestyle!

Thank you for having me in your team I look forward to being a team member.

Over the last 10 years I've gained 127 lbs and now it's time for me to reclaim my body
in the healthiest way I can. I've struggled to lose the weight and would drop a few pounds
only to regain them plus a few extra pounds. But since Sept. 2014 I've been working to
help my hubby lose necessary pounds so his heart function will improve and although
I worked towards my own goals, it was never 100%. But since June 20th I've taken back control
of my own body and will be working to drop the weight I need to lose to be at my
healthiest. My goals are to be 220 lbs. or less by Jan. 1-2016; 180 lbs. or less by my 60th birthday
on Aug. 20-2016; and 140 lbs. by my 61st birthday on Aug. 20-2017.
If between now and then if I decide I've reached a size I know I can be comfortable
with for the rest of my life, then I'll work to maintain it instead of going lower.
I'm going to work to get in as much fruit and veggies as possible on a daily basis, and
really work to cut back on processed foods as much as possible.
Due to fluid retention, I need to try to keep my sodium under 1500 grams
as much as possible daily. This will be hard for me as I'm a salt-a-holic, but it has to
be done.
I will be working hard to get in as much exercise daily as I can. Some days I won't be able
to do a lot due to RA of the spine as well as sciatica, but I'll do as much as I can daily.

i have osteoarthritis in my knees, hands and who knows where else....i need a knee replacement as my knee is bone on bone and i seem to keep popping it out of socket even when walking....i have dealt with a form of arthritis since i was 20 and the reason for that is that i have crohns and crohns can cause arthritis when the crohns is active and not in remission. i did have a cortisone shot in my knee earlier this month and it has help tremendously with the pain and inflammation, but i keep popping the knee out of joint several times a day...i take a tylenol once in a while...i tend to handle pain really well.

I found that after I hit menopause at age 50, it was not long till I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I noticed pain and discomfort on my right side, was having unexplained falls. Went for physiotherapy but it did not seem to help a whole lot. Thought my knees were the problem but ended up my right hip was totally worn out. I was waddling like a penguin for many years and still tend to do this out of habit. I am now 60 yrs old - had a total right hip replacement in 2013. After recovery, I have found that I have very little discomfort. Sometimes I can tell that my knees, especially the left one, are affected. I rarely have to take any pain medication at this point. I just use some arthritis rub on my knees and lower back. I know that losing weight would definitely alleviate pressure on my knees. Just wish that the weight would come off faster than it does. An exercise club was helpful to me but the club closed so I don't have a regular exercise routine. I do try to keep moving though to avoid stiffness.

Hi, I've had osteoarthritis for over ten years. I need to get a knee replacement in the near future. I'm bone on bone. As for my Fibromylagia & RA I was diagnosed almost five years ago. I do take medication for both. I find that eliminating sugar does help with the inflammation. Heat is my best friend for pain, it really seems to work most of the time. I'm interested in acupuncture & other natural ways to alleviate pain. I also have osteoporosis & other health issues.

Tell us a bit about yourself - how long have you had arthritis, do you take medication for it, what exercises are helpful, any foods you avoid or find helpful, etc. Just tell us anything that we might like to know about each other.
