Welcome Rantec! I too have battled with weight all my life. I never ever thought that I would have to go through with a joint replacement but here I am at age 58 scheduled for a total hip replacement on Feb. 25th. I used to enjoy going for walks but that has come to an end. Hopefully after recovery I shall be able to go back to walking for exercise. In the meantime I have found whatever works best for me - the elliptical machine is less painful than using a treadmill at the exercise club. I have been working with a personal fitness trainer to build up my strength before surgery. My suggestion to you is to just find what works best for you, but do keep moving!

Hi, I would like to introduce myself. I am a 68yr. old wife and mom of 4. I have battled weight for most of my life and now that arthritis has set in it is harder than ever to make progress. I ride my tricycle about 2 miles each day but it is very painful to walk so I do not burn many calories. I would appreciate and support you can give me. Thanks :o)
