Welcome Kim,

I am glad to hear that you are doing better and that you have found a way to exercise. I am using a Cardio Glide and that is helping me. It is good that you have come and we can help each other with the encouraging words that you had to say. The pool is the best way to exercise with arthritis, and I hope that it's helps you to get a handle on the joint stress. I have found that it is best for me also, but the closest pool is an hour drive away, so not a good choice for me. Keep up the good outlook and I know that we can get a handle on this weight.

Hi my name is Kim and I am new to the team. I am 48 years old and have had arthritis for awhile. I have always exercised and played sports. In 2008 my arthiris in my hip really put a halt to my exercising because the pain was so intense because of bone on bone, so therefore I ate to substitute. December 2008 I had a hip replacement and it has been a 1 year as of December 15, 2009. I am doing great and can still exercise. I have had to take a step down from the intensity of exercising that I was used to but you still can exercise with arthritis. I found that the pool is the best because it takes the stress off of the joints. I have purposed in my mind to stay focused. You can still exercise and stay healthy with arthritis!!! emoticon
