Well I wish you luck on your upcoming marathon. I wish I would have found Yoga earlier. It has really helped in my recovery.

Congrats on your half marathon accomplishment! My first is this Sunday. I wish I would have relied on consistent yoga more during my training, but the OMY moves definitely help remind me to get in a couple minutes each day. I am planning on doing my yoga DVD twice this week in preparation for my half.

Hi my name is Carrie, I have been a SPARK member for over a year now. I have gone from not being able to run a mile in July 2010 to completing my first Half Marathon on Oct. 31st in Folsom, CA... A friend of mine teaches Yoga and asked me to join them on Monday. I was really not sure if I would even be able to move on Monday but I said I would be there and do my best... She explained to me that I was not to do anything that hurt just breath and stretch... After the one hour class I could walk without much pain.... I told her I would be back on Wednesday... Tuesday came and I could hardly walk not because of the Yoga but because of the 13 miles I had ran on Sunday.... Wednesday night came and I was there ready to go... I moved through the different positions and enjoyed every minute of it....

This morning when I got out of bed I was not sore and could walk and move without any discomfort....
I am now HOOKED!!!! I really liked the way I felt after the YOGA class...

I did not mention but my husband came with me both times.... He actually apologized to our friend.... He said that he always thought YOGA would be easy... He was surprised out how much of a workout it really is... He is now trying to get other friends male and female to come join us... WAY COOL!!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all....
