Hi, Kevin!

You have thought about all the good reasons to make changes. Let those reasons speak to you every day. I think making these healthy choices is a struggle for many of us. We have to concentrate on pay-off.

Every little step takes us closer to our destination. You're on your way.

I used to perform in theatre in high school. I miss is so much and know what it feels like to want to be back on the stage. Keep working. You'll get there.

HOPE: Holding On, Praying Earnestly...from Guidepost Magazine

I'm working my way back to the size I want to be.
On a journey for strength and good health.

I am feeling it! What you are saying.I got to make big changes.I have recently been so ill and found it so hard to breathe. It scared me into searching for a site like this.I'm so glad I found it.I know that together we can unite and divide and conquer those pounds of life threatening fat we have allowed to slip onto us.We CAN and WILL do it!

Kevin, I can imagine where you are coming from. I am also struggling with finding the will to do what it takes. Your post helped me realize that I'm not alone, that not all people on this site are "in the groove". I know I can do it, and you can too. The only way I can think of getting motivated is to keep coming on this site, talking to people like you and taking baby steps. Making small changes weekly, bi/weekly -- whatever it takes to finally "get it".

I've done some research utilizing the links available on this site and have already purchased the vitamin supplements that were recommended to help me. I'm sure you can find out some wonderful information online to help combat insulin resistance diabetes.

Good Luck and keep coming back...the support is out there....even though I am struggling myself, I'm willing to be a support person.

Jackie

Hi. My name is Kevin. I am 31 years old. The week after my birthday, I went in to the doctor and was diagnosed with insulin resistance/pre-diabetes. I know that I need to change, but I'm struggling to find the will. I have plenty of motivation: I want to live past 40, I have a beautiful wife to take care of, and we want to have children soon. I also love to sing and perform in musical theater. I can't do it anymore. I want to audition for a play in early 2011, so I have to get in shape by then. Would love to make friends and find extra help on here
