Hi!

I'm brand new to this bootcamp thing and just wrote a reminder for myself to start the first workout tomorrow! I know, I'm a little late, but I didn't think I could modify the workouts since I don't have a stability ball. I later read that I can. I'll try.
It would be so nice to tone up and lose 5 lbs. Don't think that will happen in a month, but it's a start!

Hi there! Not sure if you've already figured it out but I saw your post and thought I'd try to help. Go back to the main SparkTeam page for the Bootcamp. Scroll down to the Daily Workouts and Challenges Forum. Then click on the one from Coach Denise that says Day 1 Workout & Challenge, Day 2 Workout and Challenge, etc. In each one she posts a link directly to the video of the day.

Hope that helps!! :)

Hello, Jeff here.

I'm digging out up in Maine. Snow shoveling has become my FAVORITE (not) cardio by default.

Looking forward to tomorrow for my premiere visit to the YMCA for a swim and suana.

SP has got it going! What an amazing website!

Keep on keeping on!

Happy Year!

Hi all,

I signed up to SP in Sept 08; however, actually started the program on April 29th, 09. I had made wonderful progress until 4.5 wks ago when I became ill with a lung infection, which then triggered other health issues.

I still did some workouts while ill because my body is programmed to fitness; however, I did not do nearly as much as prior to my illness.

I am looking forward to jump starting my personal journey again with this boot camp, and I look forward to participating with y'all.

Good luck all. emoticon

Hi Everyone! This is my first time doing the bootcamp. Unfortunately I have an injury to my right foot that limits the exercise that I can do. I had surgery back in October, but it is still really weak. I will do what I can and hopefully not let anyone down. I am a fighter and WILL LOSE!! Much Love and Luck to Everyone!!

Hello,I've been a part of Spark People since September of 08.Haven't lost much because with the water I've developed fluid in the lungs.Since ,my water is limited at times and I have fluid pills to help me along,I've decided 2010 is my year for great things.Weight loss, healthier in my body, greater relationship, resurgent in my new business venture.
I live on the east coast where it is very cold(central va). So,my outside walks maybe shorter. My children are grown and the husband is deceased and now it's my TURN.

Hello everyone. My name is Angi and I am from Vermont. I made it through the first day of boot camp, so I can tell you about me now LOL Usually I try the first video, cry, and quit. I DIDN'T CRY! I didn't do it as well as she did, and there was a lot of switching back to low intensity, but I didn't quit. I finished. (I had a false start earlier in the day when my teens were watching, but I started again after they went to bed and I FINISHED it!!!) None of the others can be as bad as the jumping one, right? Please say right! emoticon

Good luck everyone! Congratulations on making healthy choices! We can do this!

Hello all,
I've been on spark people since July 2009. Lost 20 lbs. Then the holidays came and gained 5 lbs. Got so busy that I just wasn't keeping up with all I needed to do. Haven't even logged in for about 3wks. Finally did today and found this Boot Camp and thought this is exactly what I need to get back on track.

Hi. I've been a member here for... well, a while. Never really got the hang of navigating the site, but saw the boot camp ad and decided it was maybe the kick in the pants I needed.

I'm in the market to lose 50 pounds. Ten of those I must lose as I'm once again overweight after gaining the 17 I so proudly lost during the warm months. I'm trying again, clueless on diet, what is or isn't ok to eat and working on a budget of less than $200 (bi weekly) for groceries for a family of 3.

I'm also not in a good location for walks, have no access to gyms/clubs nor any equipment. (Can you guess how I got in this situation? LOL)

What I do have is: Hikes in warm months (but I'd like to lose BEFORE then) and the desire to LEARN how to do this with my obstacles (rather than lying down and giving up likes I usually do)

Here's hoping that I do it and that it STAYS OFF this time!

~Jennifer

Heya... I'm Margie and I've been participating at SparkPeople on and off for a couple of years. I think this site has been a big part of the reason I haven't gained more weight, but I haven't been consistent enough to actually improve my health. I have a very stressful job and unfortunately it leads to me feeling like I should treat myself when I get home (eating out, lazing in front of TiVo!), rather than doing things that are actually good for myself.

Hopefully this time around I'll be able to keep in mind why I'm doing it - because getting old isn't for sissies, and if I feel the way I do NOW, how I am going to feel in 15 or 20 years if I don't change my wicked ways?!

Margie

Just joined in today and looking forward to exercise helping with both my nic cravings (quit 2 days) and my weight loss goals. Any ideas on cardio exercises I can do while the broken ankle heals? It's almost there, but very weak and painfu still.
Thanks!

Hey! My name is Angel from Minneapolis. Though I have been overweight my whole life, going to college and now grad school is not helping me be more active. I've always made excuses about not having time, which can be difficult, since I work and volunteer outside of school, but I've got to make my health a priority.

I am trying to lose about 40 lbs, but the weight is not all that important, I just want to feel healthy and be more connected with my mind AND my body.

Looking forward to completing this boot camp, I hope it will get me motivated and start some healthy habits!

Hello! My name is Dawn, and I am new to SparkPeople. This is the first bootcamp I have joined...I am really hoping I can stay committed. I joined SparkPeople two months ago at the advice of my doctor, as I have gained nearly 100 pounds in the last 5 years, and am now starting to experience some health problems. I started tracking my meals, but the workout part just seemed so daunting...I am so out of shape it feels hopeless at times. I realized just before Christmas that if I was going to make a life change, I needed to make it now, and I needed a challenge that didn't seem overwhelming. 30 days isn't as daunting as 'the rest of your life'. :) I am hoping that this challenge will remind me how great it felt to be fit, to have energy, and kick-start returning to the physically active lifestyle I used to have...

Hi all, I'm Andie from Miami. I have about 50 pounds to lose, but over the last 10 years I went from being a very active, healthy professional dancer to a very pudgy, out-of-shape freelance writer. Love my job, but this is the year I start being good to my body right along with it, now that my job no longer has a built-in workout :) Glad to be here - I made it through Day 1!

Hello from CA....I was doing well and had kept the extra weight off for a few years. I joined the gym (finally) and it took me 4 months to get where I wanted to be and only 2 weeks to screw it up emoticon I need an extra kick so I thought the bootcamp will help get me back on track! I have the workouts down but struggling with the emoticon food.

Its time to take back my body from myself. I hope to get the kick start here :)

Hi, I have been on SparkPeople on and off as well, although lately more off than on. For awhile I was able to maintain the healthy habits I picked up while here, but the longer I've been away the harder it's been to keep all of that up also. I am hoping the bootcamp will give me the boost I need to start and maintain a new daily exercise streak and keep it going, *and* somewhere to stay accountable for keeping it going!

Hi, I am Mychal from Lubbock Tx. I missed today's thing, hadn't checked out the email from Spark yet. But I am here now. I splurged over the holidays and gained back some of the weight I had lost. I can tell the difference even though it is only 8 pounds because my knees hurt when I walk. I am ready to get back on track and with Sparks ( and everyone here too ) help I will succeed.

Hey everyone - I'm Laura. I'm 24 and would like to lose a few (well, 22) extra pounds so that I can gain some self-confidence and feel like I look good in my clothes instead of being so self-conscious and feeling like nothing fits. Usually I lose my motivation, but hey - one day of Bootcamp down and I'm going strong!

It's difficult because I really haven't exercised in a while. This will definitely be a struggle for me, but I've been checking out some of your posts and they are pretty inspiring. Good luck to all of you!

Hello everyone, I am Marva from Trinidad, West Indies. I am really looking forward to this boot camp. I'm 49 (will be 50 next month) and I moved from a size 12 to a size 16 last year as I was unemployed, became laid back and stopped exercising. emoticon
My goal is to wear my slim skirts and dresses again this year. emoticon
I wish that everyone who has joined this camp will meet their desired goals and in the process become better persons all round.
God bless.
