Welcome! I have osteoarthritis as well. I need rotator cuff surgery but am holding off as long as I can. My neck, back, shoulders, hips, and knees are affected, and I think my wrists now. I also have autoimmune issues. I'm no stranger to physical therapy and definitely do my part to keep my therapist in business. :)

Welcome MUSICTEACHA. I had surgery on my foot last summer - nothing major but made it difficult to be very active. I did some chair exercises - sparkpeople has some good ones. So I set my step goal to 3000 and have gradually been increasing - makes it feel like I'm accomplishing something. Good luck to you in the healing of your shoulder and the knee replacement coming up this summer.

Well, I came on board in November 2015 and then found out I needed a shoulder replacement due to severe arthritis and a rotator cuff that was "a mess." Surgery was in February and very successful, but it's a long road to recovery. I've known I need a knee replacement for over 10 years. That's all going to happen this summer. .... In the meantime, I got the new Fitbit Watch from my nephew and, although I can't do even close to 10,000 steps a day, my goal is to reach for 5,000 and just be as active as I can. Physical Therapy sessions are about an hour and a half twice a week and although it's uncomfortable, I know it's helping and it makes me feel stronger. I look forward to checking in here with you all and want to cheer you all on! Anyone else out there fairly limited in what they are able to do, but want to be friends/buddies?
