Hi all and Happy December. I'm Noreen. Have been on SparkPeople for years. Since May I have lost 16-17 pounds. This past month I have been stuck this past month. I have been on medication that has been draining my energy.

Thought I would come back to this team to get my energy and motivation back. Still using my Fitbit Alta.

Hey, everybody!!!! My name is Nancy Jean and I am 66 years old. I've been in SP land for years!!!! I had to take a leave of absence for two years and then came back again as this is a wonderful place to keep motivated and make new friends.

I had no idea this team existed until during one of the SparkCoach challenges I was doing this team came up and I decided to join. I love to walk and if you just look at last month's total from the 10K team I averaged 27,541 steps per day and I would love to increase that amount and I am working on it. I do remember when I was only at 100 steps per day average and by His Grace and practice, I increased my steps each and every day and again by His Grace and practice I will do so again!!!

Here's to our stepping together and getting better!!!!

Blessings!

Hello
My name is Sheryl and I am having an issue that I do not understand. Why does my Fitbit not sync all the time. It is sporadic and doesn't always show everything on spark people. It seems like I have to re authorize all the time and sometimes that doesn't work. Any hints or help would be appreciated..

Hello everyone. It says introduce yourself, which doesn't necessarily mean tell about yourself, but I will. I'm Jackie. First and foremost, I'm a follower of Jesus Christ. Secondly, I'm a mother, grandmother, retired US Army, a retired nurse, and for now, a retired missionary. I've had my fitbit for a couple of years, but it was mostly used for the watch feature. Now, I'm trying to use it to improve my fitness level. I guess that's about it.

My name is Bobbie Jo and I am glad to be a member of the Fitbit Team. I have a Fitbit One and it doesn't sync to Sparkpeople anymore but I can still see how many steps I take during the day and I manually put in my step count on Sparkpeople under the fitness tab.

I'm not at all new. I've been on the Fitbit Users team for a very long time. However, I lost my Zip and it's not manufactured any more, so I bought an Inspire which I just connected to my devices this evening. Apparently, something got triggered and I've been identified as a new Fitbit User Team member! I do like Fitbit. I don't like wristbands. I already have a watch. I removed the Inspire out of the wristband and am attaching it to my clothing in a very small cloth bag that ties on a bra strap. This one won't fall off and get lost!

Hello, My name is Kathy and I have been with SparkPeople for awhile. I'm one of the leaders for the Cross stitch group.
This is my first Fitbit tracker, so I'm still trying to figure out how it works. I'm also signed in with weight watchers. I've had a different fitness tracker, but got fed up with it.
Anyway, I'm enjoying my new Fitbit so far, now to see if I can watch my eating & get my exercise in.

Hi - long time SP member - first time poster! My name is Krista. I live in Washington State. I am 44 with two adult children. I have had a FitBit for years - but rarely make my step goal. I was recently diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea. I always say that once I hit 30 my body said "hey we are going to fall apart at the seams!" and I feel like I have been ever since.

Hello, I am Mila, live in Atlanta area. Used SP many years ago and had success but then fell off the wagon. Determined to get back on track, so started again! I just love technology and gadgets, graphs and statistics, etc. lol - that is why I started using FitBit Inspire HR and Aria 2 scales. Love the fact that entering the food into SP syncs with FitBit as well. Let's all get healthy, happy and reach the goal weight! :-)

Hi, I'm Cidalia. I'm 45 (at least until November 22), mom of 4, ages 22 to 2. Weight crept up over the years, probably due to loss of muscle. Plan is to shed fat and put on some lean muscle and increase my flexibility. I struggle to find time to exercise (toddler always gets in my way, and waking up earlier is not an option...bedrooms are on same floor as living room. He hears me and wakes up). I focus on resistance training, stretching, and brisk walks with toddler in stroller. Seriously considering a gym with childcare. My FitBit username is Cidalia M.

Hi there
I'm Christine. I have been a SparkPeople user for many years, but I come and go. Right now I'm all revved up to be here. My workplace offers us a fitness program in Spring/Summer; now that that has ended, I'm eager to stay linked to a fitness group. I'm mostly only walking right now because of back issues, but I'm going to do some light weightlifting and yoga at home. I really like having a little device that can show me tangible proof of the movement I'm making during the day. emoticon

Hello! I'm Judith from southern California, I have been a member of Sparkpeople for many years always start, stop, restart and repeat. I joined another site last year that helped me a lot to keep working at sticking to my plan and motivated me to purchase a ftibit. I was ecstatic to be able to link fitbit to SP. Hi! I am Sandy the restarter! I have been with SparkPeople for many years. I start, do well for a while, and then fall off the healthy wagon. I am pretty much working on all this alone, so that makes it a lot harder. My Fitbit is older so I sometimes wonder if its working correctly. Any suggestions about that?

Thanks.

Glad you are here! Jenny, I have started over countless times. My Fitbit does help motivate me some. Try a few steps at a time. I was able to join a wellness center and I started doing water exercises. I am amazed that they have worked so well! Of course, I cant wear my Fitbit in the pool. Its older and not waterproof. Anyway, celebrate every good choice!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Zetta, I am 34 and on a slow journey to health and weight loss. I have been using my fitbit charge HR for a few months now and slowly increasing my steps. I can only walk a few miles a day currently, but that is far improved from when I started. I have dropped from 385 lbs to 319 in 6 months and am still working on strength and stamina. I hope to get to know you all!

Hello, Fitbit users! I am also not new to SparkPeople, but have not been active for quite some time and thought it was time for me to get back to it as I have put on some weight recently. A back issue has been acting up this summer and it has kept me from being as active as I was before it came back. I am a 6th grade math teacher, and can already tell that the increased steps have been helping me get my energy back, and along with physical therapy, my back is doing better as well. Look forward to getting some motivation and accountability from the people in this group!

Hello, my name is Theresa. I am not new to SparkPeople but am new to this team. I just got my Fitbit on Monday. I synced it with SP this mornin. I did an aerobic exercise this mornin and when it synced here it’s telling me the workout was “All Day” activity. Why? Does anyone else’s do that? Is it trying to say that the whole day went by n the only activity I did was 19 mins?

Hello, I'm Melanie. I got my Fitbit in February. The most interesting feature for me, has been the sleep feature. I knew I wasn't getting much sleep, but had no idea how little I was really getting!
A little about me, and my journey. I have a pituitary disorder. Weight loss has been slow and difficult. I'm getting there. 63 pounds lost 37 more to go.

I've been using my Fitbit for about a year and I especially like the feature to walk 250 steps every hour to keep me from being sedentary. I joined SP in April but just this month began being active on it. I am doing the New Member challenge now. I am maintaining a 287 pound weight loss and am now going for the final 50 pounds. emoticon Slow and easy keeps it off. emoticon

Hello! I just linked my Fitbit to SparkPeople so that I do not have to log everything in separately and am hoping that is how it works. I am trying to get my weight down and have been walking my 10,000 steps per day. July I will not be able to get in a lot of walking that I do normally since I am doing a little traveling and am having company most of the month but will do the best I can.

Never give up...be thankful for what you have done!

Hi everyone, I live in Canada. Have been using my Fitbit since December and started on Sparkpeople a few months ago. I love to walk and track my steps and miles on fitbit plus it helps to keep me active. My goal is 7500 steps a day Have a good one!

Hi everyone. I'm starting for the second time. (Wait, wha? Isn't "start" synonymous with "first"?) I'm 66 and diabetic with heart failure. In 2016 when I was hospitalized with heart failure, I decided to lose weight and get to my ideal weight of 160 lbs. I was 287 lbs. at the time. Over 6 months I lost 40 pounds, then I grew lax, then lazy, then defiant... and promptly gained it all back. Yesterday I was over 300 lbs. for the first time in my life and I've made the decision to start over and finish successfully this time.

After the hospitalization, I bought a Fitbit Charge 2 to keep track on my heart rate (primarily to keep an eye on fibrillation because my cardiologist was worried about VFib, since I had had a bout of AFib in the hospital, which he corrected with an ablation. Cardio rehab got me started walking and while I was losing all that weight, I got up to 10 miles in a day one weekend and an average of 10,000 steps per day. Now, I'm back into vegetating in front of the TV, so I began going back to the gym yesterday, along with signing up to SparkPeople.

My baby steps goal is to go to the gym 3x a week and walk on the treadmill for 20 min/day there. My long term goals are to hike the Appellation Trail and to live forever.

Hi,

I am Melissa, 37, recently became a mom very unexpectedly. I didn't know I was even pregnant when I had my daughter.

For awhile I had a different fitness tracker and it wasn't bad but with all that recently happened with my eventually ex husband I pretty much lost it. Luckily that was paid off but I had been wanting a fitbit again.

I love being a mom! She is a miracle and a blessing! emoticon emoticon

Hi everyone... This is the third time I have started this plan and I'm counting on the old saying... third times a charm. I have used fitness trackers in the past but this is the first fitbit I have used. Started this journey again on Monday and as of today I have lost 3 pounds. I know this is probably just water weight, but at lease the scale is going the right direction. I am determined not to let the outside forces win this time. Focus, focus, focus.

Hey all! I have had Fitbits off and on for years. For the past 2 years I have been using it regularly. Last year I got a Fitbit Charge 3 and I couldn't be happier with it! I have also used SparkPeople off and on for years as well. I am really trying this time, as my health is now demanding it. Bad habits will catch up with you sooner or later! So happy to find this group! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Never give up! Never surrender!

Hello Everyone :)

Coming back to Sparkpeople and trying to get healthy again. I just picked up a Fitbit Inspire HR which should help track my workouts in the pool.

Connecting Sparkpeople to my Inspire HR was a lot easier than when I had my Chage HR. Looking forward to chatting and supporting everyone as we work towards a healthier us :)

Sunshine (sunny) here,
I had joined this group a couple months ago when I first started "thinking" about getting a Fitbit. Had no idea which one I wanted. Well my daughter had recently gotten one and posted about it on Facebook. So yesterday I received my FITBIT VERSA in the mail. I am still learning about all the bells & whistles it has.

I signed up with Fitbit using a different email then what I use for sparkpeople and Facebook...so it won't let me connect with my pages on either website.
