Hello Everyone.

My family and I started a Biggest Loser competition amongst ourselves and so far I am in the lead (LOL) we are doing the winner based on % lost.

I have a LOT of weight to lose and this is helping me be more accountable.

I live in IL and I have 3 boys, 8,3,3 (yes twins). I look forward to meeting more of you!

Hello everyone,

I just got myself a fitbit flex about a month ago and I am loving it so far. I live in UK and I also love this website. I am looking forward to joining the team's challenges or even take part in tracking steps. :)

Hi everyone, I got my fitbit last year, right before i found out i was pregnant & the exhaustion hit. He's now 7 weeks old & doing great so I am back to trying to lose weight. I've got about 60 lbs to lose. My goals are progressive so my first one is to walk a 5K, then walk/jog a 5k, then jog a 5k, then a 10K, then a half marathon, then a marathon, then a duathlon, then a triathlon. Granted that may take me a few years, but at least I know where I'm headed.

It has been a while since I've continually used SP. I used it to loose 50 pounds before so I'm back to get my health an in order. I've recently brought a FitBit Blaze and I'm glad I can link it with SP. My goal has been 5k a day now I'm moving up to 7k and finally 10. I'd love to join a challenge.

Hello, I am new to the team and new to Fitbit! It took me a while to learn how to sync my device with Sparkpeople (and I am hoping that my account was not deleted in the process -- long story) if so, I will just have to go back in, get a new account and get busy.

Hello, Fellow Fitbit Users.
My name is Madonna and I live in Illinois. I have one of the first, the simplest, fitbits, but it tells me what I want to know---my steps for the day. Our daughter has one of the "fancier" ones, and she likes it, so maybe I'll move up one day.

I've been on SparkPeople since 2012 when I became serious about my health. I drifted in/out but have been using the site consistently and seriously in the last couple of years.

I have a couple of medical conditions that diet and exercise can control, and my goal is to use diet and exercise instead of medication to keep them in check. My numbers have improved so I'm confident that as I continue to work at my health I'll meet my goal.

Keep walking.

Good Morning sparkies...
I've been on sparks since 2010 & have been a fitbitter for much of that time...I wear it & use religiously. Being a previous night shift worker, before my retirement made the sleep tracking as important as the steps. Now retired & sleeping at night like the normal sleeping pattern, my focus of improving my movement continues. I started with the standard 10,000 a day & over the summer with it's great weather racked up an average of 17,000 a day. My all time record of over 140,000 steps was achieved during a 60 day challenge I gave myself which got me back to my set goal weight on August 21st....Now in maintenance, I am looking forward to keeping this movement up with winter just around the corner. Looking for fitbitter support to maintain my present weight control.

My name is Sandi, just turned 60 & teach senior fitness classes as a volunteer. Want to be fitbit friends? send me a spark mail email address!!! emoticon

Good evening! My name is Nicole. I've been on SP for a while now, but just now getting into getting myself healthy and fit. My husband gave me his FitBit Flex because he knew I would get more out of it than he is right now... we are planning on getting another one, so we can compete :) I am loving the fact that I can set the silent alarms to remind me to get my butt up and move.

Hi, my name is Karen. I just finished the 21 Day New Member Challenge. I just got my Fitbit Challenge HR. I love it. I have health problems that make exercise harder and I need to do them in short groups. The tracker helps me keep track of each group accurately and let's me be accurate for thw whole day.

Hi, my name is Nicole. I've been on SP for a little while now. I'm working with a nutritionist and dietitian to help guide and hold me accountable, along with SP. I just received a fitbit and I am already loving it! In just the last couple of days, the silent alarm has helped me to remember to be more active!

Hi Everyone!

I am returning to SP after being gone for over a year. I have had my fitbit since May and love it. I was shocked to find out how much I am actually sleep though, I am determined to get the rest of my excess weight off. I have several health issues but am not going to let them be an excuse any longer.

Have an awesome Sunday everyone!

Hi all, I've had my Fitbit Charge HR for 6 weeks now. I love it a lot more than I thought I would. I'm really enjoying challenging myself and doing some friend challenges. It has motivated me to get up from my desk more and take walking breaks. I'm averaging about 12K daily steps right now. The HR and sleep info is an added bonus, too. No complaints or questions from me. I just wanted to join a group of people who also enjoy their fitbits!

Good luck reaching your goals!

Hello Everyone:

I'm Rozz and I have re-engaged myself with SparkPeople to make myself accountable to my weight loss and nutrition goals. My immediate goal is to lose 20 lbs which would be 10% of my current weight. I have all the tools to be successful just slow to get started and lack the motivation to "stick with it" so I am relying on my SparkPeople circle to help me out. emoticon

I do like to walk and consistently wear my Fitbit Charger. My average step count is 6000+ daily. My step goal is the 10,000 daily.

Hi. I have been on Spark before but am starting fresh. I use my FitBit One and try to do 10,000 steps, but it is hard to get that high most days. I also use it to track my biking miles by putting it on my shoe or in my pocket. Cycling is my preferred choice of exercise during the summer.
I am almost 52 and losing weight has been a true struggle as I've gotten older. I am planning on reaching my goal weight by my 53rd birthday (October 2017). I saw a video of my husband and I dancing and it seems that is what I needed to get me going again---I was not impressed with how I looked!

Good morning team, I am new to the site but have had my Fit bit one for six years total after two being replaced by the Fit Bit company.

I am going for at least 10000 steps a day but most days exceed that amount.

I love golf and I prefer not to use a golf cart and walk the course which my fit bit tracks every step, wish it could improve my game but if it were not for the wild T offs I would not get as many steps per game.

Glad to find a team with a common tool to use on our journey.

Sandy

Hello, I am Tsinsin, or Cindy for normal folks.

I have a Fitbit One, and wear it every day. Sometimes I just wear it for company, and sometimes it brings me good news. One day it told me I walked up 97 flights of stairs, and I believed it. There were a lot of stairs that day. It went on vacation to Germany with me, and we visited a lot of really pretty places. But sad to say, my Fitbit seems to think that grocery shopping is not fun and tends to want to hide in the grocery stores. Especially Costco. It hid under a couple of pallets in the Costco store, and hide really well. I was sure that I was going to have to replace it, but could not make up my mind which one I really wanted. Then, I got a small envelope mail shipper and there was my fitbit. It came back to me with a really nice message from the Fitbit folks. Someone found it, and sent it to them, and they sent it to me.

Later, we are going for a walk.
Cindy

Hi, I'm Carrie. New Fitbit owner. I got the ALTA for my birthday. It's only been a week but already it's reminding me to move.

I started out with a 10,000 step goal, but I think I'm going to crank it down to 5 or 6,000 and work my way up. Don't want to get burned out or depressed over not making my goal.

Have a great day.

Hello, I'm new to the Fitbit. Hoping it will make me conscious of my exercise habits while motivating me to do more walking. I have a long way to reach my goal of 100 lbs, but I know I can do this!

Hello fellow fitbit users:
My name is Les, and just wanted to introduce myself.
My first fitbit Charge HR went dead. They have just sent me a new one cause I was still under warranty.
However, I have forgotten how to set the time! I remember, either on my mobile device or on my computer, you could choose different ways for the time and date to appear. But, I forget how to get to it.
Anyway, if anyone could help me with that, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Sincerely,
Les

Never mind. I've called customer support and they helped me out, so I'm good now!

My son got me this for my 69th birthday this month. I decided I would use this as a 'start-over' motivation. I have been a SP member for about 3 years, but find myself slipping backward due to arthritis issues with my knee and toe joints. Ouch to walking! But...visited my son and kept up with the family somewhat and it made me feel better. So...going to try to keep it up. I will have to learn how to see my Fitbit results on SP boards...I actually loved the way the little Spark tracker just would sync my steps in. Hope the Fitbit does the same?

Hi All.

I'm new to the message boards, but have recently started back to Spark again. I've had my
Fitbit for about 7 months and have lost 15 pounds with walking and trying to change my eating habits. Good luck to everyone!

Greetings, team!
I was active on SP for several years a while ago, then stopped. I'm back again, still needing to lose pounds and get stronger. I love my Fitbit One. Will have to take time to figure out how to sync it with SP.

I have been on Spark since 2008

Retired and really need to start drinking my water and loosing weight - after the many doctors appointments!!!

At the moment they are trying to find out why I'm so anemic - but they want me to exercise!! lol

I have had a fitbit since 2013 and I just recently upgraded from a flex to the Alta. I love it. I try to walk 6,000 steps a day.

Fairly new user to Fitbit, but not to Sparkpeople. I was using the SPAT to upload my data to Spark, but it had a major malfunction (I puppy sitting, and puppy chewed it to bits off my shoe -- I was relieved he didn't swallow it or the battery!).

I don't know how much I'll hop onto the conversation threads for FitBit Users Unite.....happy to say hello to all. So far I love my Fitbit Charge HR!

Wishing you the best with your health and fitness goals! emoticon
