Hi Kate, So happy that the surgery went well. I will keep my fingers crossed and send you hugs of encouragement.

HOPE is not pretending that there's never any sorrow - It's the knowledge that our troubles will be overcome tomorrow. It's the inner strength we call on to sustain us now and then, till our problems lie behind us and we are happy again

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. She came through the surgery just fine. She is home and taking it easy for the weekend. Doctor says she can go back to work on Monday. They took a racquetball sized growth off her intestinal wall. It has been sent to be biopsied. Everything is still saying it's not cancerous, but my fingers are still crossed. Now we just need to get the nodule in her breast biopsied and taken care of. She sure is getting tired of going to doctors and getting poked and prodded.

Hi Kate, I am crossing my fingers, sending positive energy, good thoughts & prayers for your mom. Hopefully everything turns up OK.

My dh has terminal lung cancer and it is spreading. So I understand where you are coming from.

My name is Kate. I'm from SC. My mother is a colon cancer survivor. Today she is have a lump removed from her colon. The doctors aren't sure what it is, but they don't think it is cancerous. Please cross your fingers, send positive energy, good thoughts, prayers, or whatever else you can. My uncle (mother's brother) died of colon cancer when he was 63. And if you weren't already aware, March is colon cancer awareness month. What's up your butt? Get checked!! Early detection saves lives.
