Hi Rose, sorry to hear about you dh's illness. My dh also had prostate cancer, he had surgery and everything came out fine.

Good luck on the surgery and you and your dh will be in my prayers.

Take care of yourselves.

Dianne

I'll be praying for his successful surgery tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.

Thank you so much for your reply Cindy & it is nice to meet you. Im am happy for you & your husband that they were wrong & he is still here with you & still getting good news. Dennis' cancer is all contained in the prostate but is aggressive. So they are removing the prostate tomorrow. Thank you again for your support. I will send updates after tomorrow.

I'm glad you're back here on SP, but I'm sorry for your husband's diagnosis. Cancer is such a scary diagnosis, but they have made so many advances in treatments. My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2009 and initially told he had 6 to 12 months left. I'm happy to say he's now in his third year and feeling pretty good this morning after getting good news yesterday that his latest scan shows some shrinkage of tumors.

I know it's a tough journey, but you will find strength you never knew you had. While you're caring for your husband, make sure you take care of yourself also. We're here for you if you need anything. Feel free to email me anytime.

I just re-joined Spark to try to get fit & healthy. Also my husband was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer & is having da Vinci robotic surgery tomorrow to remove his prostate we are at the start of a rough journey. Needless to say I am glad I re joined as I need all the support to not binge eat from my nerves.
