My husband had acute myeloid leukemia but passed away of C-diff. It was the kind they have now in hospitals that no antibiotics work. I agree that cancer is a horrible disease and will pray with you that ways will be found soon of eradicating it.

One way we can all help is to contribute to our cancer research and aid programs.

My husband asked that instead of flowers his friends would donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It does a great work in providing needs for those who are stricken by these cancers, provide money to reimburse on-going expenses, etc. and treat the people afflicted as people and not a number.

I am sure that there are other organizations that do the same for other cancers so lets all check them out and see exactly what they do and support them.

Hi Everyone,

10 years ago my father, at the age of 48 lost his very short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Since then, I have lost my Grandmother to Oral Cancer, my grandfather got leukemia (but passed from a stroke) and my mother in law to Back Cancer. Cancer is a horrible thing!!
For all of you who are fighting and for all of you have families who are fighting ... I hope you win your battles
