Just kind of "dip your toes in the pool" at first and build on that. You've already started by posting on this Introduce Yourself to the Team forum. You might also try posting on the Game Room Forum for the new "opinion" post about who will win the weekly football games (it will get posted soon but is not there right now). Or just commenting on someone else's blog -- nothing fancy or too long, just something short and sweet. It takes a lot of time tracking your food, but a lot less time tracking your exercise. So if you can work up to food tracking and logging your exercise and just making a few comments here and there, you will be well on the way. Don't burn yourself out doing too much in the beginning, AND CELEBRATE EVERY SINGLE TEENY TINY POSITIVE CHANGE IN YOURSELF. Rome was not built in a day, and part of learning Spark is being able to handle setbacks without just giving up entirely (I am speaking for myself here!). WE ARE SO GLAD TO HAVE YOU. BEST OF LUCK!

I am a 68 year old retired Dog Groomer who has gained 75 lbs. too much in the last 10 years and needs to get her health back in step. I have sit so long that I can barely get around and over did my exercise the first two days on Spark People which made getting around even harder. I know I can not do this by myself and am asking for your help.
I groomed by myself for 34 years, and do not know how to interact with people. Dogs, I get along fine with. If you can help me understand how to seek help from other people, not trying to do it alone, I would appreciate it.
