well here I am. my sister told me about this site last night. I was up to 306lbs 2 yrs ago this month and dropped to 250 lbs by June of 2008. My daughter went off to college, I got a promotion and new job, moved from Seattle to Delaware, started drinking beer and eating lots, quit working out (had been running 5k races for fun before moving back east) and have hit the scales at 296lbs this week. Lost 56, found 46, and now gotta lose it all again and then some if I want to live a long healthy life. I'm hoping to be around to spend time with grandkids some day, but won't if I keep the weight on or continue this yo-yo weight loss going. I went to the gym for the first time in a long time Friday night after work. Today I jog/walked 2 miles on the treadmill. No Ben and Jerry's today! And straight and sober for nearly 2 months now. It used to be when I'd quit drinking the weight would fall off. Not this time. It's sticking around. This is the first healthy weekend in a long time, and need to make it the first of many. Goal - 220lbs by this time next year. 76 lbs to lose, 52 weeks, 1 1/2 lbs a week? That's do-able. Here we go!
