This is my first real step into loosing weight. I have had many many failed attempts, and am really hoping that I am able to have the determination this time around to stick to things. I believe that if I start of in small doses, I may have an easier time of sticking to a daily routine when it comes to exercising. My goal is to loose enough weight by eating healthier (smaller portions, controlling my food intake) and doing some cardio at home so that I feel comfortable enough in my own skin to start getting more serious and hitting the gym!

I don't actually own a scale, (I have weighed myself before, but not recently) so will be going directly off of measurements themselves. I think it may be easier for me to go blind for a couple months, so that I am not always feeling pressured by the scale. Is that a good way to go about it? Or would using a scale really help me more? The scale is kinda scary :(

Thanks for any hints or tips you may have!
