Thanks. I weigh myself each morning. I know, it may discourage me (especially if it goes up). But something about knowing I will be getting on the scale in the morning motivates me.

Day 4: 243.6

0.4 down from day 3. Sounds good to me.

My body usually sheds the first 13-15 pounds in this manner. And then I go into the 1/2 lb up, 1 lb down routine. Which can be frustrating to watch.

Woke up this morning with sore throat. Struggled with deciding to have "planned" food for lunch, or get some egg drop or wonton soup. I always have that when I am sick and it seems to help. So I reviewed both on thedailyplate and seemed like wonton was the way to go. Hopefully I dont see a bump up in the morning due to the sodium?

So I am just following a plain jane regular calorie counting diet and making sure I get RDA of Fiber. 1200 - 1500 calories per day. Staying towards the lower end. Havent started exercising yet. Want to go get a pedometer. Will likely just walk for exercise, as I usually get all "I must go to the gym" and make a big production out of it, and then keep it up for a month or two and then burn out. The last time I did well with my weight was the year before my wedding where I would walk 45 minutes in the morning and then again in the evening. I think that is what I will start with.

Thanks for the encouragement, and good luck on your journey as well!

that's awesome. Don't weight yourself too often though, you will get discouraged. Are you following any special diet?

Day 1 = 249
Day 2 = 246.6
Day 3 = 244

My body always really responds well at first. I'm gonna try not to mind if the scale moves up and down a little and just keep doing what I am doing.

The temptation is to call it "water weight" as if it doesnt count. But it does count.

Will be smiling if scale moves below 244 tomorrow morning, but if not, I'll just keep on keeping on.

Thanks for listening.....
