Welcome to Sparks. And so happy to hear that you are celebrating 8 months since your surgery. My cousin had a breast removed ( her choice as they found a lump and after it was removed there was another one they hadn't detected) and she went through chemo and radiation, 2 years ago.

We are glad to have you here, and what a talented lady you are.

Good luck to you on your healthy journey as you work towards reaching your goals.

I look forward to networking with each of you as the days go forward. I am celebrating my 8th month of recovery from a L Mastecomy. With the grace of modern technology, the spot was found on my annual mammogram in Jan 09 when it could still be considered pre-cancerous. I have found that one does not recover from such surgery as fast as one recovered from childbirth over 25 years ago. I have little patience for the recovery process. I am looking forward to reducing my weight and regaining my balance. Who would have thought one side could play such an important role in standing and sitting up straight.

I am currently working on a baby sweater to go with a pair of bibs overalls I knitted for my first great niece. Baby is due any day and I should be knitting instead of typing. My next project is a pair of Prairie Boots for my mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. If done in ample time, I plan to knit a pair of denim coveralls for my granddaughter. Then socks. I love knitting socks!!!
